Really?

Days like these, I just sit and think really?

How did life become this - so fucked up, crazy, and somehow silly?

I'm beyond words, honestly, I hardly know what to write anymore.

Actually, scratch that, I don't know what to write, I'm out the door.

But seriously, with Trump, ISIS and the economy being the worst by far,

It's no wonder I couldn't afford to fix my old, rusty, wonderful Hatchback car.

I work two jobs and I still live paycheck to paycheck,

But if you ask me, I think it's America that needs a goddamn reality check.

~

Is this really what we want? To jump back to republican days and forget all the progress we've made?

To ignore the Declaration of Independence, trash our human values, just so we can get paid?

To that, I say 'really?' and look upon my peers,

They look back at me, open their mouthes and then start voicing their fears,

~

Honestly, I tune it out, because I can't deal with this shit for much longer,

I'm done with all this, I'm out, the world is bonkers.

~

Why don't I just do me and then you can do you, let's all live freely?

And to that, if you asked Trump, I'm sure he would say, 'Really?'
