Red Colt

I shook my head as I opened my eyes champ was already up grazing thunder still fast asleep I rolled my eyes before walking over to champ he looked at me as I did
"Hey good sleep?"
But before I could answer I saw a trailer being pulled into are home me and champ shared a look thunder head shoot up because of the sound
"Did you hear about a new horse coming?" Champ asked as thunder made his way over
"Not me what about you thunder."
"Nothing on my end either."
We all watched as the trailer came to a stop and a big red colt was backed out of it
"Wow." Was all I could say
"He a racer for sure you think he your new training buddy?" Champ asked
" they can't be replacing me with him he looks like he slower than me." Thunder said
"What is thunder upset because someone going to take your thunder."
Champ and me started laughing thunder just rolled his eyes and walked away soon the big red colt was put in the paddock beside us and champ went to talk to him as I hunted thunder down
"Thunder stop whining it was a joke."
"Not a funny one."
I looked to see him by a tree and I walked over to him
"I already have to prove to my dad I can race and having another colt are age is not going to help."
"Don't worry about your dad thunder if he can't see you for a great racer you are than he blind you're an amazing racer and a great friend don't worry about what he thinks because he got nothing on you."
"Thanks Ribbon you always know what to say."
"Ribbon come on girl."
I turned my head to see Dannie walking over to us I nudged thunder side before trotting up to Dannie she smiled and patted my neck and put the rope on my head and I heard a *CLICK* and soon she was leading me off of the grass and on to the hard rocks But I still fall owed her all the way into the roof covered barn and past stalls all the way in too I heard two more clicks and I stood still as I felt my blanket get put on my back and soon the seat that Derek sits in was on my back as well I tossed my head a bit as she righted the thing that went on just behind my front legs
"Oh you will live you get it put on every day." Dannie said as she went and took the rope thing off my head and put her hand in my mouth making me open it and the cold metal thing went over my tough making me bite it a bit
"are you two ready?" Dannie asked as Derek walked over as he finished putting something on his head
"I'm ready and I think Ribbon got this." Derek answered

soon Derek was on my back and Dannie lead us to the track I tossed my head a bit and he gripped my mane I looked to my right to see Sarah with a blonde and an older man along with an older women beside her

Sarah Pov

"Wow she is amazing where did you get her?!"Asked Lucien

"You wouldn't believe me if I told you." was all I answered with

As I watched my filly trotted around the track to the gates her head tossing like always Dannie walked hands on her hips her same old baseball cap on her head

"What do you think her going to do?" Dannie asked

"I think she going to do just fine I have faith in our little filly." I said to her while leaing over the fence

"I do just don't want her to spook when she sees him that's all he a giant compared to her."

Dannie walked away to Ribbon and got her bridle and led her into the fare gate and closed it and hoped in soon big red walked onto the track with his young jockey on him and he was loaded up as well

Third person

after big red was loaded Ribbon turned her head to look at the colt on her left he looked at her and she stomped the ground and looked ahead eyes locked where she needed to run Derek gripped her mane a bit along with the reins before he leaned forward a bit and whispered in her ear

"We got this girl just like racing Thunder just run a good pace than we can kick it up a gear."

Derek sat right again and then ever thing seemed to slow down for the two owner groom and trainer as they heard the ring and the two horses shoot out of the gate Ribbon in lead taking the rail red seven lengths behind her and she just keep going

"That a girl keep up he's eating are dust."

Ribbon keep running in till she heard hooves that didn't belong to her the red colt was catching up to her she bit on the bit in her mouth he was right beside her the red colt tossed her a look which she returned Ribbon let out a laugh and the red horse did as well

"Come on girl second gear." said Derek letting go of her mane

Ribbon than shoot away from the colt and went full speed her mane blowing behind as she pasted the finish line eight lengths ahead of big red she slowed down and pranced a bit happy with her win Derek patted her neck

"Good job girl good job." he said as he led her to Sarah and the others

"You got one hell of a horse there Sarah." Lucien Said coming over and patting the filly neck

"Thanks I am very proud of her can't wait to race her."

"Shame you can't enter her in the Triple Crown."

"Never say Never Lucien." said Sarah

"Got her a trainer yet?"

"Hey you don't go running off on us." said Miss Ham making the other laugh

"Nice race Johnny you two did good for a match race again a horse that been running a little longer than red has." said Lucien as the red colt and his jockey came up

"Well what do you think Lucien?" asked Penny

"I think if we train him with her he might be ready for his first race faster than he would have been before."

"Yay!" Penny said going over and hugging the red colt

"Looks like we will be seeing each other more often than." said Dannie as she had her hand on Ribbon who snorted and tossed her head

"I think someone wants her dinner." Derek said laughing

"Can't denine a girl her food now can we." said Dannie taking a lead and hooking up to the brindle and lead ribbon away

Ribbon Pov

after I left the track Dannie and Derek got me to the roof covered place and took off Derek seat on my back and the cold metal came out of my mouth and was replace with rope around my head and then they brushed me down and lead me to my stall where thunder and champ where already in there's but then they put me to champs right instead of left which was weird but I started to eat my food and drink my water when I heard more hoofs I looked up and put my head out of my stall to see the big red colt I just raced put in the stall beside me
