July 9th, I remember that day.

I remember it too well. It was a few days before my graduation party.

"I love you." You said.

I stayed silent, refusing to say it back. My mind was screaming it, it was screaming that confession so loud that I couldn't even hear your heavy breathing after the make out session we had that day.

"I can-" But you interrupted me.

You had to interrupt me.

"It's okay. I rushed things, I'm sorry." You smiled.

You had to be so nice, but you weren't all angelic, know?

You were the devil crawling from the pits of hell.

"You can't do this anymore, right?" You looked at me and I swear, oh, I swear, the tears that gathered up in your eyes made my stomach churn.

"You don't think you're ready, right?" You kept on talking and it tore me apart.

"You said you always fall for the jerk."

And right after that, I left.
