music blasted into my ears as i stared up at the clouds.

we've gotten so much closer;

you and i.

but that makes me oddly nervous.

we've spent so much time together,

that i'm afraid you'll grow tired of me.

i mean,

why wouldn't you?

why are you continuing to stay by my side when you know how much of a mess i am?

you should've left me long ago.

when you realized something was wrong.

that our whole friendship was based on a lie.

when you realized i wasn't the comical boy you befriended.

so why'd you have to stay?

after all that,

wouldn't it just be easier to give up?

give up on me and live from then on as strangers?

i longingly reached my hand up towards the gray sky.

if you knew things were going to change in the worst of ways,

why'd you stay?
