Prologue

It is the year 4224, and the world, as we knew it is gone. The world now is split in three parts: Northern Plains, Southern Plains and the Main lands. The Northern Plains are a piece of land the size of the whole of North America. Southern Plains are the size of South America and the Main Lands are a piece of land the size of Europe to Russia and parts of Africa and Australia.
Humans, demigods and monsters are not the only thing inhabiting this new earth: Everything from the fashionable vampires and werewolves to the unfashionable goblins, ghouls, and other unnamed creatures that live at the bottom of the food chain live there too. This is a result of mankind tempering with dark influences, but because Zeus allowed it they are alive. As thanks for that they now all pray to the Greek Gods.
Ares the God of War has been once again thrown out of Olympus. He lands in this new world, and finds all these new creatures fascinating; they find him fascinating as well. Here is one human being who cannot or will not be pressured or threathend into doing something he doenst agree on. He name now is Marcus Reese, the first name that popped into his head. He mussed that it must have been the fact that he was Lord Mars before being thrown out of Olympus.
After getting used to being mortal and around mortals, the Fates decide to throw him another curveball; it was stated in an old prophecy that Ares son of Zeus would rage war on his own father for the sake of his true mate. Marcus knows nothing of this prophecy, and just believes that his father was finally done with him.
So in the new world Marcus finds a job as a café manager, something he really had to get used to. Luckily nobody made a big fuss about him being in charge despite him never have done such a thing. So what is Marcus to do when he finally learns of this prophecy? Lose the love of his life to his fathers wrath, or does he choose to fight his father for it just like the prophecy said?
