The Forest of Magic.

The shrine maiden flew through the various thickets, now blackened by a sudden cloud of darkness.

"Yo, Reimu!", the magician called out to her while flying on her bamboo broom. "What incident are you investigating now?"

"Just this annoying mist," Reimu replied, "it's so cold, you know?"

"Yeah, and this forest is kinda dark, don't you think?", she asked. "Quite suspicious."

And all of a sudden a figure materialized in front of the duo.

The figure had red eyes and blonde hair, wearing a black vest over a white blouse bordered with two beads on her collar, and a black skirt. She had a sealing amulet (ofuda) tied to the left side of her hair, like a ribbon.

"Whoa, didn't see her coming.", Marisa commented.

She shot circles of bullets, as if warming up for a big fight. The duo dodged, and shot back with amulets and missiles. The mysterious enemy was defeated, and covered herself with the darkness, getting away.

"Well, that was something.", Reimu said, "Let's continue."
