Did everyone forget about the parents?
Helllo????
They birthed you.
Most characters don't have an active parent in their life. Sure, some stories have a parent that is either an alcoholic or just not there.
But here's the reality.
Some people can have a normal parents.
My parents are divorced. There's some people that have a dad and a mom. Two dads. Two moms.
That's fine. You can have your parents.
Because think about reality.
"Oh hey mom I'm going to go out to a party with a bunch of people you've never met in a shady area, see ya later!"
DOES THAT HAPPEN FOLKS?
No. At least if I said that then I would be questioned of my sanity.
But here it is.
A pass.
You got a plot where something is going on with the parents? Okay. That's alright.
Here's a tip:
Think reality. What happens in real life. Take those things and apply them to your story.
