What I won

I remember the words as clearly as I can see what's before me now. "YOU MAY HAVE ALREADY WON", unsure then of what that was, I wish that was still the case. I don't find victory by default a victory in the least especially a war I never wanted to win at all. I suited up in my gear and all my evidence expecting you to tell me I'm wrong, expecting you to fight, but you didn't. You threw in your white flag as if the effect was no longer worth the cause. All is said and done now. The war is over and I sit here with my sorrows, and the loneliness I've won.
