A Saturday night is usually a lonely night for both Matthew and Bethany.
"You coming for a drink tonight?" Matthew asks Bethany through the screen. "I'm afraid not, I have homework to do." Matthew sighs annoyedly, as he runs his fingers through his long, brown curly hair. "Copy your sisters." Bethany rolls her eyes, "she's smarter than you anyway," and at Matthew's second remark, she sends him a death glare. "You get offended so easily," he laughs. "I get offended so easily when people I love makes me offended."
Complete silence. No words; just breathing, a dog barking and some background noise from the kitchen and cars outside. "I better go check on Allen," Matthew mutters and Bethany simply nods. "I better go do my homework."
"See you later," they say at the same time, as they both hang up.
