"I'm at a bar getting drunk alone, don't you mind?" Matthew slurs into the phone, trying not to fall off the tall bar stool he is sitting on. "Matty why'd you go alone? How are you getting home?" Bethany is mentally ripping her hair off of her head, due to angst for Matthew in the night. "Do not worry, I 'ave got George with me. He'll bang those big guys," Matthew chuckles.
"I guess you didn't mean that literally, anyways, is George with you now?" Matthew nods, forgetting that Bethany cannot see him, only hear. George grabs Matthew's phone and starts speaking. "Hey um, I'm George, Matthew's friend," stuttering a bit in the beginning, but he continues to speak. "Matty didn't mean that I'd have sex with the guys, I'm just a drummer, which he means I'd bang them like I bang the drums- oh wait, this also sounds wrong... Excuse me, Matty's trying to tell me something,"
"Mm," is Bethany's reply.
"What're you tryna say, Matty?" George asks, putting his ear against Matthew's mouth. The music is blasting very loudly, and so are the people shouting. "Why do you talk so loud?" He almost shouts into George's ear, making him back away. "Why did you shout? I don't even remember why I let you get drunk, under my sight. Wow, great job George." He sighs, looking back at Matthew's phone. Bethany has hung up.
George stares at confusion on Matthew's contact list. He got a message.
1 Sorry, but I had to hang up.
2 My mum wanted me to spend time with my brother.
3 Again.
4 George? It's Bethany.George's eyes light up. "Oh!" He shouts also starting to smile.
He texts back saying:
1 You guessed it! George, haha. Your brother isn't home as often, I suppose?
Bethany texts back:
1 Yeah, my mum wants us to spend as much time together as possible.
2 I must say, it has become a pain in the ass. He's been visiting quite a lot lately.
3 So you're the drummer of Matthew's band, I hear?
