The Pain Behind Smiles [ Ken Kaneki × Reader ]

      You were off to work at Anteiku and today was a busy day. You quickly got changed and went to make coffee. Usually it would be Kaneki who would make coffee because you would just serve it, but today Yoshimura wanted you to make coffee. As you make coffee you remember what Yoshimura said to you, so you take your time and the coffee turns out perfect. You could hear customers compliment your coffee, amd that made you smile more. You figured you'd make the coffee with care and love because you wanted to make people smile by drinking coffees just like Kaneki and Touka.
      At last there were no more customers and it was about closing time, so you started to wash dishes and Touka and Kankei were cleaning tables. You washed the dishes fast and you helped wipe the tables. You wiped the windows, Touka swept the floor, and Kaneki wiped the counter. After all that was done, it was time for all of you to clean yourselves up, you weren't really dirty, but just a tiny bit.
      As you were about to change the for opened and I'm came a woman and her daughter.
      "Ryouko, are you ok?! Kaneki go get towels! [Y/n] make some coffee!" Touka said urgently.
      "Yes I'm fine, I'm sorry to bother you at this time but I'll explain later." Ryouko said. You made coffee and Kankei went to get towels. Kaneki came with the towels and you served the coffee. You sat the guests down at a table to drink their coffee. You joined them to talk to them.
      "Hello, my name is [l/n] [y/n]. What's your name?" You asked with a smile to the little girl. She looked scared and you didn't want to push her to far that she'll cry. "It's ok if you don't want to tell me." You said with a smile and a calming voice. Then her mother spoke.
      "I'm sorry, my name is Fueguchi Ryouko, and this is my daughter Hinami, nice to meet you. Your coffee is delicious!" She said with a smile.
      "Nice to meet you too! Thank you, I'm really glad you like my coffee! I hope you enjoyed it too Hinami! You have such a pretty name, and your so beautiful too! I wish I was like you." You say smiling at the too. They both smiled with you.
      "That's not true [l/n]-chan. You are really beautiful! Your coffee is great too!" Hinami said with a big smile. She really likes you because you make her happy. Your smile is contagious and whenever you smile the people around you smile.
      "Aw, thank you Hinami! I'm glad you liked my coffee too!" You say in a happy tone smiling. Touka walks over to the table you are sitting at with Ryouko and Hinami.
      "I see you've gotten close to [y/n] already. I must tell you that she is a human, but don't worry she knows we are ghouls and she doesn't mind. You won't have problems with her because she is friendly and lovable. As you can probably already tell, they are ghouls too." Touka said with a smile. Ryouko was surprised that you were a human who accepted ghouls, you were the first human she met that was like that.
      "May I show you to your rooms?" Touka said, and off they went to their rooms. Kankei stared in amazement. He wondered how you got so close to them in so little time, and in just one small conversation too.
      "How did you do that? How did you already get close to them and how did you make the little girl smile?" He said.
      "I just opened myself up to them, to let them get comfortable with me." You said smiling at him. He smiled back at you and he said "It's true, your smile is contagious and you always find ways to make people smile." You walked up to him and kissed him on the cheek and said "The source of my smiles come from you." He grabbed your waist and was about to kiss you on the lips when you two were interrupted by Touka.
      "Make some more coffee and get some food for them." Touka said. You both quickly began to do just as she said. You and Kaneki brought the food and coffee, and Touka came along with you guys just to make sure you both didn't screw anything up. When you entered the room you placed the food down and Kankei placed down the coffee. "[L/n]- chan your here! I wanted to see you again!" Hinami said to with a big smile, and he hugged you. You hugged her back and smiled at her. "I wanted to see you too! Your so cute Hinami!" You said with a big smile. "We brought some food for you and your mom, eat and rest up. Ok?" You said smiling. "Ok [l/n]- chan!" Hinami said smiling back at you. "Hinami you can call me [f/n], I'm fine with you calling me  [f/n], and I can be like your older sister." You say still smiling. "Ok [f/n]-nee-chan!" She said smiling.
      She took a sip of the coffee and looked a bit confused. "Why does the coffee taste different [f/n]-nee-chan? It tastes good, but it doesn't taste like yours."
      "Kankei made the coffee. I'm sorry did you want my coffee? I'm sorry Hinami, I'll go make some coffee just for you, is that fine?" You say.
      "Really?! I would love it if you made me some coffee [f/n]- nee- chan!" Hinami said smiling!
      You went down stairs and made some coffee for Hinami. When you got up stairs Touka and Kankei wanted to try your coffee because Hinami described it to be the best thing she tasted, well, besides human flesh. You poured all of them a cup of coffee and they all seemed to really enjoy it.
      "It tastes almost as good as Yoshimura's coffee." Said Touka looking amazed.
      "I can see why she wanted yours over mine." Said Kankei.
      "Don't say that, your coffee is good too, I personally like your coffee a lot!" You say smiling at Kaneki. You all leave so Hinami can eat.

I hope you liked this chapter! I promise there will be a lot more chapters coming, it's just that schools getting to me. Ugh, sometimes I like school and sometimes I don't, but i have to deal with it!
