I got back to head quarters, which was just an abandoned building, and Ayato had regained consciousness just a little bit before we got there.
We all gathered in one big group.
"I brought you all here to discuss something important." Eto's voice had a serious tone.
"What is it?" Naki seemed like he didn't even care becuase he still is depressed from Yamori's death.
"There is going to be a raid tonight. It is us ghouls against the CCG, but we need as many ghouls as we can get to help us go against them. The other strong group of ghouls that we can team up with is the one from Anteiku, but I haven't addressed this to them yet. If anyone here knows anyone from their, please convince them to help us." Eto said.
"My sister works there, but we don't have a good relationship with each other, so I can't go." Ayato crossed his arms. "Plus, I don't know anyone else there besides her. Though, I bet Kaneki can go. I mean, he does have a girlfriend who works there. He also knows everyone there."
"Is this true, Kaneki? If so, she can be of great use to us by helping convince the ghouls at Anteiku to join us. She would also fight with us even if the ghouls of Anteiku don't want to join us." Eto said.
"NO! I-I mean, no. She... she is a human. And she will NOT participate in the raid." I sighed. "That's all you need to know."
"No it's not all we need to know. How does she look like?"
"You don't need to know that."
"Yes we do. She is important to you, so we don't want to accidently kill her."
"Fine. Here. This is a picture of her." I carefully handed the picture to Eto. "Be careful with it!" I said sternly. Eto passed the picture around to everyone.
"Well, don't you look happy in here?~" She chuckled. "All of you make sure to not kill this human girl. She is important to one of our Aogiri members." Eto returned the picture to me. "Kaneki, what is her name?"
"Her name is Y/n. Also, if you see her during the raid. Protect her." I put the picture in my pocket.
"Understood, Kaneki. Did everyone get that?" After Eto asked that, everyone answered her with a 'yes'. "Alright, I think everything is set, but Kaneki you need to go to Anteiku."
"I know, I will go and try to convince them to join us."
"Good. Well then, goodbye."
After that, I made my way to Anteiku. When I'm finally there, I hesitate to open the door. When I opened the door, no one was there. So I went behind the door that said staff only, hoping to find Yoshimura somewhere in one of the many rooms.
I heard a voice and followed them, and it led me into a room where I found Touka.
"Kaneki? I thought you were gone!" She was mad. "You don't have the right to come back here! So just lea-"
"No this us important! Please, I didn't come back to join Anteiku again."
"Then why are you here?" Yoshimure walked into the room.
"I need to speak to you. It's very important." He nodded his head and motioned for Touka to get out of the room.
"Go on, I'm listening." We both sat down.
"There is going to be a raid tonight, and Aogiri needs your help to defeat the CCG. Please, we can't let the CCG win. This would be our chance to finally fight back after they have killed so many of us." I tried convincing him to help us, but he showed no expression. I was scared, what if I failed to get him to join us? Would we all die?
"You have a point there, but the Aogiri Tree is our greatest enemy, and so is the CCG. It wouldn't seem right to join our enemy." He said as he leaned forward and clasped his hands.
"But if you join Aogiri and help us defeat the CCG, then maybe we wouldn't see each others as enemies. Plus, we would both be fighting to defeat the CCG. Even if we aren't allies by the end of this, you would have already gotten rid of one enemy." I could feel sweat running down my face a little. I'm trying my best to convince him. "The CCG already knows about Anteiku, so they will come attack all of you here. So, the best choice for you to make is to team up with Aogiri."
"Your right. I have been convinced. We will join Aogiri, but they can not kill any of us from Anteiku behind our backs." He then stood up and stuck his hand out.
"Understood." I also stood up and shook his hand.
"It was nice seeing you again Kaneki." He smiled. It was a warm smile, and he could still smile like that even to me.
"You too, but I have to get going." I felt sad, what had I done? I gave up all of Anteiku and it's people. As I made my way out, I made sure to get a good look at the place. I wanted to make sure I remembered it. Maybe this will be the last time I see it.
