Chapter 7
Alex's P.O.V
So after he left, I sat on the couch. Staring at the tv. It wasn't turned on, but I wouldn't be able to actually watch it anyways. I would still be thinking about him. Just like always.

We have been dating for a whole month now. Today, Thursday January 27. (Made up. Idk if it will be a Thursday)

I walked into the café and sat next to him.

"Happy one month-aversery." He pulled out a giant bouquet of flowers and handed them to me. I giggled. They were so pretty.

"So what are we gonna do tonight?" I asked. He hasn't said anything about tonight.

"Yeah..... about that....."

Uh-oh. "What?"

"I have a family dinner. Can we celebrate tomorrow? I tried to get out of the dinner but I don't ever get to see my dad. He's in the navy. And he's finally coming home."

Now I felt bad. "Yeah. Have fun with your dad."

I heard him chuckle and nod his head.

RING!!! RING!!! RING!!!

"Sorry gotta take that." James said then walked off.

I heard a few words. "Ready......surprise........never forget...... be there soon...love you too......" Love you too??

He came back over to the table and grabbed my arm and said my surprise was finally ready. It's about time!! he said it would be ready almost a month ago. He finally decided it was better to wait until our one month-aversery.

Anyways, he pulled me along the hallway and into his car.

"What about third period?"

"What about your surprise?"

Good point.....

"Who was that on the phone?"

"Oh. That was my grandma. She's holding the surprise there. And she helped make it work." Please be food, please be food, please be-

"We're here!" he said happily. He almost jumped out of the car. He kissed me on the cheek and then led me inside. Giving me a small tour.

"Grammy?" just then an elderly woman walked out of the kitchen.

"Oh hi my boy. Is this the beautiful young lady you were telling me about?"

I blushed and nodded.

"Good. Your gift for her is in your bedroom."

"Okay. Thanks gran." he kissed her on the cheek and led me upstairs.

When we were in his room, I looked around. He had a race car bed?

"I haven't slept over here in years. And that's why the race car bed is here. I picked it out with my dad when I was little." That makes a little more sense.

"Soo...... the surprise?" I asked.

"Oh yeah.... Hold on." He went over to his dresser and dug around for a minute.

"Found it!"

He got down on his knees and held out the small box. He opened it.

I heard myself gasp. It was a ring. Why?

"This was my great great grandmother's ring. It's a promise ring. My grandma gave it to me on the first day of high school. She told me that if I ever found my true love, this should go on her fingers."

I could feel the tears rolling down my cheeks. He is so sweet.

He looked at me as if asking if he could put it on my finger. I nodded and he slid it on. It fit perfectly.

"I..I don't know what to say.... its beautiful." I feel like I'm in a god damn movie. But at the same time, it also feels good.

It feels right.
