Chapter 18
James's P.O.V
I'm so happy. I'm back together with Alex! I know, I know. I sound like a girl again, but I really don't care this time. I think that everything is finally working out for me.
Except for what happened last night. I told Alex why happened and she was FREAKING OUT. And I told her that they got arrested, and she calmed down a little bit.
After that we snuggled up on the couch and watched Finding Nemo.
Why is it that almost all cute couples watch Disney movies together? is it normal to do that?
We fell asleep on the couch with my arms wrapped around her.

I wake up with Alex next to me on the couch.
I hear her sniffle and sit up.
"What's wrong?" I ask.
"What's gonna happen to us when you leave?"
"I don't know. We could either call, text and Skype every day, or we might have to break up when it's time for me to go."
"But, what if I don't want you to go..." she whines.
"Then maybe I'll stay..."
"But you can't stay forever."
Why not?"
"James..." she whines.
"Alex." I mock her.
"Not funny. I'm serious. If you leave again ill miss you too much. I almost came after the last time you left. I couldn't stand it." She whispered.
"You think I liked leaving? dammit Alex! leaving you then was one of the hardest things I've had to do in my whole life! Harder than leaving you the first time, harder than deciding to join the navy!" I speak loudly.
"Wait. You joined the navy? when were you gonna tell me about this?"
Shit. I didn't want her to find out yet. Not like this!
Okay, so last year I decided to join the navy. I'm not leaving until summer, but I had to join 3 months ago. Fill out all the paper work and all that-
"James!" Alex snaps me out of my thoughts.
"Um... They recruited me like 3 months ago. I was gonna tell you, I swear! I just didn't want you to her like this."
"How long will you be gone?" she asks. Hurt clear in her voice.
"I'm not sure yet." I say. "I'm not sure."
