Bonus Chapter 1

Pre Doctor Strange.

Caterina sighed as she sat on the medical bed, Peter was on her right and held her hand tightly. The stitches on her stomach were finally going to come out today and she'll be able to start moving around more.

The damage T'Challa had left was undeniable and the scar would be there forever. He had called her the day after she had woken up and told her how sorry he was about almost killing her. She had forgiven him and then he told her some useful information that her sister along with Steve, Sam, Clint, Scott and her sister Wanda had all escaped the raft and had come to stay in Wakanda.

He promised nothing would happen to them as long as he was King. It was nice of him to even offer for Cat to stay there with him in his country, but she couldn't leave Peter.

Peter. The boy who left butterflies in her stomach. The boy who she had a major crush on. He was right beside her the entire healing process, she slept on a small twin cot in his tiny tiny room, he wanted to keep an eye on her at night so she wouldn't tear her stitches.

The two had bonded and eventually he had taught her an American accent so she could blend in better. She had met his best friend Ned Leeds, a plump, short little spaz. Ned loved hanging with the two, especially when Cat made him tell funny jokes. Ned and Peter were like brothers. They did everything together, but Peter was glad he had another superhero in his life. 

The two looked at each other when the door opened. The doctor walking in and looking up at the teens. His clipboard telling him all he needed to know about the girl, how she was stabbed in the stomach and then brought to his hospital for treatment. He saw Tony Starks signature at the bottoms and furrowed his eyebrows.

The girl swung her legs back and stared back at the doctor hesitantly. Her eyes looked at him with wonder.

"Catalina?" He asked not able to read the handwriting of her previous doctor.

"Caterina..." she corrected as he came to sit in front of her. Peter standing up and keeping ahold on her hand.

"Sorry about that kid, I'm Dr. Strange." She smiled at the man, "It's nice to meet you." She gulped hoping he couldn't tell her Sokovian accent. His eyebrows raised as he looked her over, she looked familiar, but he couldn't place a finger on where.

"Alright lets get those stitches out."

"Okay, is it going to hurt?" She asked her eyes filled with fear and Stephen looked at the girl with soft eyes which were unusual for the man, who was always arrogant. "It will sting." He got to work then as soon as she laid back and she clung to Peters hand like life support. The two kids eyes met and she smiled at him, he was so invested in taking care of her he didn't have much of a summer. She knew one things for sure though...they were in this together.

"While the Avengers protect the outside world and the threats that reside there, we protect more mythical based threats." Wong showed Strange the map and pictures of the avengers. One by one they popped up until he saw one familiar video. It was the girl from a couple months back..."Who's that? She looks familiar!" He shouted catching Wong off guard.

"Ah Caterina Maximoff also known as Neela or Monsoon. Master of the elements, she was given her powers by the agency Hydra, along with her two siblings. Her sister Wanda is one of the most powerful mutants in the world. You've met her?"

"Sorta I took out her stitches." He spoke his heart beating fast seeing the girls photo on the map.

"The Avengers were torn apart just a couple months ago, she was injured by the hero the Black Panther...she's lucky to be alive." Wong said before flipping the map back to the shields.

"Small world." Strange spoke shaking his head slightly. What a small world.
