Jungkook struggles to open his eyes and crawl out of bed when he hears a knock at the door, stumbling down the stairs and running a lazy hand through his messy bed-hair before opening it,

"Morning duck" Taehyung grins, pushing past the younger and jumping onto the couch, splaying himself over the cushions

Jungkook stares at him in shock, he's met the boy once and yet here he is, at god knows what time, acting as if he lives here

"Taehyung, I thought you were coming over this evening, not at-" Jungkook glances over at the clock and lets out an exasperated sigh, "not at 6am" 

The elder laughs, "sorry duck, something came up- I have to be home this evening after all"

"Where do you even live? And why do you keep calling me duck?" Jungkook grumbles before settling himself on the couch opposite, suddenly very aware that he's only wearing an oversized t-shirt and boxers

He shrugs, "just want to", at this point it seems that Taehyung also notices what Jungkook is wearing and a chill passes through the younger's body when he notices the elder's gaze darken

"I'm just gonna-er- change a sec" Jungkook mumbles before starting to stand up

"Don't." the word is harsh and instructing as it leaves Taehyung's mouth, and Jungkook struggles not to sink away at how his eyes pierce through him. 

"Tae- I just think that I should-"

"Are you uncomfortable?" Taehyung asks, his tone is still dark and so completely different from before as he tilts his head questioningly

"No- It's not that- I just-"

"Do I make you uncomfortable? Do you not feel like you can dress like this around me? Are we not friends?""

"No that isn't- I just wanted to-"

"The what's the problem? Sit."

Jungkook shuts his mouth and slowly sits back down.

Then Taehyung is grinning again, his emotions immediately doing a 180, just like in the cafe that day, "So, what d'ya wanna do?" he asks happily. Jungkook doesn't answer, still shocked and a little scared to open his mouth. Taehyung chuckles and throws a pillow at him playfully, "Earth to Jungkook! Helloooo!"

Jungkook finally snaps out of it and gives a small unsure smile, "I don't know, nothing is gonna be open at this time so... wanna go to the park?"

"Sure! Sounds like fun!" Taehyung smiles happily, "go get changed then!"

Jungkook jumps up and quickly goes up the stairs, shutting his bedroom door behind him and sighing in relief

It's going to take a while for him to get used to Taehyung's weird mood swings.
