I woke up to the sounds of soft whispering. Some people had climbed out of bed and gotten ready, and the others like me, were still in bed.

"Morning Sleepy head." I turned around to see Darcy leaning against the bed frame, his hands casually put in his pockets.

"Morning." I mumbled back, sitting up, and stretching. His gorgeous dark blue eyes glowed in the light.

"Did you read the letter?" He whispered under his breath.

"Yeah." I whispered back.

He nodded, in reply, and went off to where Mason stood, glaring at me. I found the pair of clothes that was provided for us, and I changed into them, making sure the small symbols were hidden from everyone.

There was nothing to do after that. We waited. No one came.

"Man I'm going to check this door." Decided a boy, with black gleaming hair. He trudged to the door, and twisted the knob abruptly. "What the hell!" He gasped, jolting the door knob harder, and pushing on the door with his shoulder, trying to get through. I stood up from my seat, and started to join the crowd that had formed around the door. Aaron pushed passed everyone.

"Let me try." He yelled out. He reached out to the doorknob, and then everyone noticed the same thing I did. Four symbols were on his arm, the same place like mine. Aaron jolted the doorknob, and the four symbols lit up, gleaming and glistening.

The door opened.

We all stood in silence, dumbfounded.

"My lord." Mumbled the same boy, who tried before. "Who else has this?"

No one answered, glancing at each other nervously.

"I said, who has this!" Yelled out the boy.

"Geez Anthony, calm down." Mumbled another girl.

"I have it as well." I spoke up, rolling up my sleeve, to show proof.

"Me too."

"Same here."

"I have it."

I gasped. The group was split into two. Four other people including Bonnie, Darcy and Mason, joined Aaron and I. The other four people left, stood dumbfounded, a disgusted look on their faces.

We turned to the door, to see Emma appearing there, a devious smile smacked on her lips once again. She pointed at the part of the group with the symbols on our arms.

"Congratulations, you are officially part of the Chosen." She announced. Leaping aside, tall, bulky men piled in the room, holding a shotgun in their hands.

"If I were you, I would get out of the room right now." Emma warned to us. I glanced at the scared and nervous faces, of the rest of the group without symbols. They nodded at us to leave. Without looking back, we walked out of the room. Bonnie walked next to me, a tear streaming down her cheek. I gripped her small hand. But there was nothing I could do to reassure her. We followed another tall guard, who grunted to every question. We passed hallways and doorways, going a way I have never been before.

"What are you going to do with them!" I screamed out to the guard. He looked at me as if it was an obvious answer.

"What is supposed to be done." He answered. His voice sounded mechanical, almost as if he was hypnotized. I tried to ignore the shots that echoed down the hallways, flinching at every shot. I squeezed Bonnie's hand harder. The guard stopped abruptly, and took out a giant, long key. Unlocking the door, he pushed us all in, locking the door behind him.

"Each of you get into a pod." I looked at my surroundings. Six, large glass pods were lined up along a wall, huge beeping machines connected to them.

"What is that?" Asked Mason.

"Get in." Ordered the guard again, a dangerous hint to his tone.

I trudged to the pod closest to me. It opened automatically, a small seat for one inside. I hesitated, but saw that Aaron had started climbing in the one next to me. He gave me a reassuring smile, and vanished inside. I vanished into my own, sitting on the cold leather seat. The door slammed closed, blocking all sound from outside. I listened to my own, quick breaths as I waited in anticipation.
