Jesse's POV
I grabbed his collar, slamming Lukas's body against the wall with force- hearing a loud crack.
He collapsed to the ground, blood pooling beneath his head.
...crap.
What the hell did I just do?!
I looked back to my sister, who was collapsed on the floor.
S-she never told me that Lukas was abusive.
I always knew that blond architect was a player.
I took a deep breath, trying to clear my head.
I... really need to keep my anger in check.
People have always said that I have anger issues.
I looked back down at Lukas, cringing slightly.
How much force did I shove him with??
His bleeding had stopped, but I turned my gaze back to Jess.
She had a large blue lump on her temple, blood slowly dripping over her eye.
God, I'm an idiot... I mean- I just freaking slammed Lukas into the wall and now he probably has some stupid concussion which he'll probably sue me for or something retarded like that.
I kneeled beside Jess, brushing hair from her face.
I examined her head, seeing that she was going to be okay. No major permanent damage.
"Jess?" I whimpered. "Jessica, please be okay..."
Her eyes fluttered open for a minute, staring blankly at me.
"JESS!" I gasped. "Jess.... who did Ivor turn into a duck once?"
Jess' face contorted into a look of confusion.
"Jesse.... what are you talking about? Of course it was Olivia and she-" Jess had stopped talking, sitting up slightly.
Her eyes locked on Lukas, who looked terrifying in his pool of blood.
"W-what... happened?!" Croaked Jess.
I felt guilt pang inside me.
"You never told me he was abusive to you." I growled. "He better be happy that's all he got, or I'd be happy to bury a knife in his sorry-"
"JESSE!" Gasped my sister. "W-what makes you say that?"
I sighed.
"I came into your house and saw him with a blade to your throat? Don't tell me that it was a misunderstanding, because I could tell he was hurting you."
Jess' POV-
I looked back to Lukas, feeling tears gather in my eyes.
He..... he had red eyes......
Red.
"Jess..... please calm down." Soothed my brother. "You're extremely pale and I don't want you to pass out again."
My heart started to race, thinking about all the terrible things that could happen to Lukas.
"J-Jess...." croaked a voice.
My gaze shifted to Lukas, who barely moved.
"Lukas!" I screamed, rushing over to him. "Lukas- I-"
I stopped my sentence short, seeing his eyes.
Bright scarlet eyes.
"W-what's wrong, Jess?" Asked Lukas. "I..... can't see you."
My blood pounded in my ears.
H-he can't see?!
"Lukas, what's wrong with y-"
His red eyes flickered from light to dark, and he sat straight up.
"I mean, Jessica..." He purred. "I can't see a thing. Everything is dark. But what I can sense is your fear."
He smiled, my brother placing his hand on his sword.
"You're afraid of me, aren't you, Jessica?"he asked, still grinning.
"Lukas, I have no idea what sick game you're playing...." growled Jesse. "But you're freaking me out. Stop."
"But why would I stop, when I could've helping my master?" Retorted Lukas, his eyes still flickering.
"M-master?" I squeaked.
"That's right. Petra and I are continuing to serve the great computer PAMA, and we will soon make everyone in the worlds useful." Lukas knocked Jesse's sword out of his hands, the metal clinking to the ground.
"Starting with you two." He purred.
Suddenly, something hard hit my head, making me see spots.
I saw Jesse fall to the ground and I myself toppled over.
I could just make out fuzzy images of Lukas and Petra with their scarlet-colored eyes, right as my world went dark.
