I visited the place where we used to hide
Hoping, desperately, that I would find you there
And what I found was not what I wanted to find
Time seemed to be rejoicing in my disposition
Endings became tangible
Yours passed translucently, violently
Our memories shattered on the sidewalk
Us changed to you and I
