She knew what the pain felt like

She had felt it for a really long time

She knew the smell and taste of blood. It wasn't as if it
was a new thing.

But watching life slip out of his eyes was.... Fascinating...

She stood and watched his eyes go blank just like hers
but she was still breathing

Her eyes screamed death but her body proved otherwise.

People in times like these feel empathy towards the dead

She felt nothing.

Her eyes were dry as the sahara desserts
Her heart colder than Antarctica
Her soul.....pft.... Blank.

Her savior gave her what she wanted. 

She couldn't tell if she was happy
She could tell if she was sad.

She just knew she was empty.
