The Calm To My Crazy

JENNA's POV
"This girl is the fucking best, you're going to fucking love her" Keo says to the camera on his phone as he is standing behind my chair in the makeup trailer. "it's fucking Jenna Johnson!" He aims his camera in my direction. "Stop!" I laugh at him. "But look at you!" He says, posting the video to his InstaStory. "She definitely is the fucking best, but she's fucking mine, so you better back off Motsepe!" My favorite Ukrainian jokes, as he walks into the makeup trailer. He comes up next to Keo who was still standing behind me. "Don't worry man, I would never even dream of coming between Valenna." Keo says. "Hey V Bear" I say, smiling at his reflection in the mirror. "Hey JennaBug" He says leaning down and kissing the top of my head. He then turns his attention towards Keo beside him, "Sup man" he says as they exchange a man hug.
"Keo, Dean's ready for you in the hair trailer." One of the makeup artists tells him. "Okay, thanks Patti" he says, then turns to us, "I'll see you two lovebirds later!" He gives us a quick wave and exits the trailer.
VAL's POV
"Okay Jenna, you're all set" Gale, another makeup artist says. "Thank you Gale!" Jenna responds giving Gale a hug. She then reaches out and grabs my hand which automatically cause a smiles to spread across my face. I was obviously extremely nervous as Hell for tonight, but it helped ALOT having My JennaBug by my side. She is the one person who can always calm me down without a fail.
As we exit the makeup trailer, I hold my hand out and help Jenna down the two steps. "Hey, we have an hour and a half before we're needed in wardrobe. Can we go cuddle in your trailer for a little bit?" Jenna asks looking up at me with her deep blue eyes. Every time she looks at me, I can't help but smile like an idiot. "That sounds absolutely amazing, Baby Girl." I say giving her hand a light squeeze. Together, we then walked hand in hand to my trailer.

VAL's POV
AN HOUR AND A HALF LATER
For the first time this week, my entire world was at peace...until my phone alarm put an abrupt end to the quiet peacefulness. Jen and I must've fallen asleep. It's a good thing she set my phone alarm in the case we did, I honestly don't know what I'd do without this girl.
"Shortest hour and a half of my life" I mumble to myself. I immediately catch sight of Jenna snuggled up on my chest. No doubt about it, this girl, is the calm to my crazy. Right now, I just wish I could lie here with her in my arms forever. Jenna looked so peaceful. As much as I didn't want to, I knew it was time to wake my sleeping angel. "JennaBug" I say in a soft tone. "JennaBug, it's time to get up" I gently place a kiss on the top of her head. "Nooo" she moans, stirring in my arms. "I don't wanna" she buries her face in my chest. "Me either baby girl, but we really got to go". I point out. "Okayy" she whines, as she reluctantly pulls away from me, and hoists herself up off the couch. I then push myself up off the couch as well.
JENNA's POV
After we're both off of the couch, we get our things together and Val walks out of his trailer first. He turns around to reach a hand out to me to help me down the two steps. However, I just shake me head and say "no", which earns a slight look of confusion from Val. "Turn around" I say. He says "okay" and turns around, his back now facing me. I smile and jump onto his back. "Jen!" He shouts scrabbling to grab onto my dangling legs. "What?" I smirk, knowing that I had caught him by surprise, but also knowing that he'd catch me. "You're lucky I caught you." He said in his Brooklyn accent. "I knew you would" I said wrapping my legs around his waist and my arms around his neck. "You always do" I then rest my chin on his shoulder, which receives a bright smile from Val. "Now hurry up before you make us late!" I instruct. "Yes ma'am! Your wish is my command" he laughs as he gives me a piggy back ride to wardrobe.
When we get to wardrobe, we both change into our first costumes from the night. We then go to the hair trailer and then the makeup trailer for touch ups. Finally, we make our way to the redroom. Val insists on carrying me on his back everywhere we went.
VAL's POV
"Riding first class Jen?" I hear a female Australian voice ask as I enter the redroom with Jenna still on my back. "Are you really that surprised, Shar?" My brother asks raising an eyebrow at the redhead. "Oh come on Maks, don't even act like you wouldn't do the same exact thing for Peta." I say calling my big brother out. "Yeah, cuz you two are whipped" Alan says chiming in. "They're not whipped, they're just in love" Brittany says coming to our defense. "You wouldn't understand what that's like A-Lawn" She finishes gaining a few chuckles from us.

The live show had officially started and Laurie and I are about to go on for our freestyle. "You ready Lil Nugget?" I ask looking down at my 16 year old partner. "Yeah-I -um" Laurie stutters. "What a stupid question Valentin, She was born ready" we hear a voice say. "Jenna!" Laurie says running over to hug her. Throughout this whole process, I've tried my best to be there for Laurie, but sometimes, there's certain things only a female role model can do for a 16 year old girl. Jenna and Laurie have definitely developed a strong bond throughout this journey, not only did I love seeing it, I was also incredibly grateful to Jenna for taking on that role and helping me with Laurie. There's no way Laurie and I would've made it this far without her. "Don't overthink it princess, you got this" Jenna tells Laurie returning her hug. "And so do you" she says gently kissing my cheek as I got closer to her. A producer comes in and starts to usher Laurie and I off to the ballroom floor. "Good luck V Bear." I hear a voice call out behind me as I grab Laurie's hand and give it a squeeze. Jenna was right, I was ready. I got this.
