I wish you could see where I stand and understand why I won't lend a hand, I wish you would listen to what I have to say instead of only hearing what sounds good or bad. I wish you'd let me explain and respect my decision. You only want me to do what you want me to do not what I want to do. I'm not a little one anymore and my confidence has risen to where I can make my own decisions now. I thought you would be proud; Instead you glare at me in disdain and constantly try to change who I've become. Instead of love I'm greeted with hate, your arms no longer held open but instead firmly sealed across your chest. You ask for the truth and my opinion which I gave freely although the fault is mine I should have learned after all this time you never liked who I grew to be, me.
