Each Other

We talk everyday but I only see you every two weeks

When you are here I never want to let you go

We only have three days to be in each others arms

Then you leave again for another two weeks.

Now that's all in jeopardy. 

The demons that surround me wait till you walk away before they attack

They know you'll protect me and give me strength to face them all.

They are trying to pull us apart

We can never touch again

I can feel my bonds getting tighter again.

I live in a cage guarded by lying snakes

You will fail just like others that tried to rescue me

I tried to rescue myself once but failed miserably

You cannot touch me, you cannot look at me, you cannot speak to me.

If you do then you will perish.

An army stands between us and for everyone you slay or convert six more appear

You are not alone in this fight, while you come from the front I come to you from the back

I can only hope we meet in the middle as a team still

I've been abandoned too many times to count, my rescuers either surrendered or were slayed

Do not touch me, Do not look at me, Do not talk to me.

They will come for you and you will perish.

I apologize for this mess I've gotten you into, I should have warned you like I did the others

But you are different from them, you have a chance unlike them you had already snuck behind enemy lines to my cage.

I care about you the most, that's why you received no warning because you know what it's like to be in a cage, we are both trapped.

Our happiness is always ripped away from us and now that we found happiness in each other that's being ripped away to. 

Can't you see it's hopeless, no matter how much we fight for our freedom and happiness we will never be free and we will always be chained in misery.

Why do we keep fighting with no point, why won't we let each other give up?

There's only one thing left to do, now it's up to you because I'm ready when you are I'm just waiting for you.

Let's disappear into the wind and never look back again.
