Part 4: Double Date

I woke up in Masons arms, confused, I get off of him

"Man, I was comfortable." He whined

"Yeah, well I wasn't." I say getting up and going downstairs. I look through the refrigerator looking for an apple

"My my my it's Emma!" I hear Dave say I turn around

"How the fuck do you even get in here?" I ask

"At least I know I'm happy to see you." He said

"Why are you here?" I ask again

"Me and my little bro have a little bit of business to confirm." He said smiling "you could come and join us if you want?" He asks

"I'm fine." I say grabbing an apple

"Okay." He says "I want to give you something." He said handing me a long box

"What's in it?" I ask

"Open it and you'll figure out." He said

I open the box carefully, pink gladiolus flowers where inside

"Flowers?" I ask holding them up

"I see you near them everyday." He said  "just thought it'd be nice." He said

"Thanks?" I say looking at them

•Flashback•

"Here you go Emma." My dad says in his uniform

"What is this?" I ask in my 14 year old body

"It's a gladiolus flower." He says "it represents strength and moral integrity. I know you have strength and much integrity." He says

"Dad?" I ask "don't leave me, okay?" I say tears down my cheek

"If I were to leave it would mean I'm not strong." He said "I'm never going to leave you and mom." He says

•End of Flashback•

"Emma?" Dave says

"What?" I ask

"Are you okay? You just dozed out." He said

"I'm fine." I say setting the flowers down "Mason!" I say and he comes down in just joggers, like always. I go back upstairs with out the flowers. I found a pair of grey adidas joggers my size, a black spaghetti strap, and plain white converse high-top. I go down into the living room seeing Lance and Trisha snuggled up in a blanket, I grab the flowers Dave gave me and go into the backyard. I walk to the gladiolus patch and put the flowers with them, I start to walk around looking at other flowers. After walking I saw a green house, I walk into it to see weed everywhere, I touch the soft leaves and saw a container, I opened it to find blunts and a lighter. I take one and go outside next to a patch of flowers no one can see good.

A couple minutes later  it started to hit me. I got up and touched the petals and started to run in the fields when I hit a hard chest making me fall backwards. I look up at a buff man and giggle putting my hand to my lip

"What are you doing out here?" He asks and sniffs the air "why do you smell like weed?"

"Maybe a little." I laughed

"Get up." He chuckles taking my arm and we go inside, Trish and Lance look at me

"How are you buff but not black?" I ask laughing (sorry if that sounds racist, it's not)

"Because." He chuckles and we go upstairs "boss?" He says going into Masons office

"What is it?" He asks and looks at me and so does Dave
