Time Spent

We board the ship. It's been a few months now. I looked at her. We barely ever communicated. I think she just wished I would leave her. She goes to the railing and just stares out over the horizon. The sun begins setting. I stand next to her, and I just look at her. She removed her bow and tossed it in the water. I stay silent. She looks at me. She said nothing. I look at the water and sigh. "Blake... do you even want me around?" Hear kitty ears twitch. "Y/n... I don't know, honestly. I don't want you to get hurt." I look at her. "I don't want to leave you alone. I want you to be safe." She sighs and leans on me. "I want you to be safe. If Adam found us and hurt you... he said he's going to destroy everything I love. If he killed you... I... I..." She shudders and I put my arm around her. "I won't let it happen." We watch the sun set together. "I'll be in my cabin." I hug her and head below deck.
