We all glare at the sky as the anthem plays. We all stare at the faces of the fallen as they flash by, the district number underneath each picture. And we all count how many have died, how many are left, and how many we must kill to win.
District 1-Gone.
District 2-2 left.
District 3-1 left.
District 4-1 left.
District 5-1 left.
District 6-1 left.
District 7-Gone.
District 8-Gone.
District 9-Gone.
District 10-Gone.
District 11-Gone.
District 12-1 left.
We all think of the 6 people we must kill to win, to go back home. We all think of our families, and what we are fighting for. And we try to forget about whose lives we have taken. None of us succeed.
