The hairs on Brandon's neck stood up as he watched Sarra's durango pull away.from the park.

"Phil." He said into his phone three seconds later." The name of the man calling Sarra is Brandon James. See what comes up."

"James." Phil was apparently writing down the name.

"And I need you to run a plate." Brian said

"What do you got?"

"I don't know maybe nothing." But he knew better. A jogger had circled around twice after Abby's fall looking than gone to Toyota 4 runner, guzzled some water fiddled with stuff in the trunk, killing time watching now the man was gone, but his car wasn't.

"Shoot," Phil said and Brian told him the tag number and letters.

Phil left the phone to call in the plates, then came back." ID will come back within a few Min's. and I put someone on the name Brandon James." You know anything else about him?"

"No Sarra just gave me the name."

"How the hell did you get that out of her?"

"I told her he was a murderer That is all it took. She almost fell apart on me."

"Ah man. OK. well I just finished reading through everything we got from fosters auctions."

"And?"

"When bill Foster died he left the businesses to his wife Veronica, who hired her nephew Evan to run it. They had never had children of their own. He has a mba at Harvard and seems like a great guy. I can't find any connection from the dead or missing woman to the fosters."

"What about any connection to Gloria?" I never looked at any antiques angle on her."

"Sarra was still a student in Seattle when Gloria died. "What could there be connecting the?"

Brian didn't know and for the moment he didn't want to think about it.He skimmed all the cars around him, looking for the jogger. He worked his way across the parking lot up and down and  the spotty aisles of cars. He came across the joggers 4 runner and peeked in. Three fast food bags a thermos,and several cups. Either this guy had an eating disorder OR had been in his car for a while.

"I also looked into the person who 's highboy is in Sarra's workshop."Phil said."They haven't' been out of the states in the last two months, and his voice don't match the one on her phone."

"Sarra is still on his shit list."

"Which does nothing for us look if she is ready to talk we are going to need her The thing in Indiana has turned into a interstate murder, and the FBI is putting together a task force. A guy named Steven Cassy is the special agent in charge. Is he any good or just a geek with a laptop?"

"I don't know him.One thing they are good at the bureau is geeks with laptops. I left a message for Dillon this morning. She always liked me didn't want me to leave the bureau." Of course he didn't know if that would matter. The last time he had seen her he told her to mind her business and leave him alone.

Brian started walking toward the wooded border of the parking lot searching the trees for the jogger Instinct made him touch his gun. The man had simply vanished.

"OK." Phil said. "Here it is your license plate info to the 4 runner 2001 dark green  the owner is John Hansen he is a ___

Brian heard a sound. He turned around and went for his gun, too late everything went black.
