The call came three hours after Brian sent Sarra home from the park. Abby was watching a movie. Emily and Christian were due to arrive home late tonight. and Sarra was planning on leaving early in the morning for the two hour drive to there house. She just had to make it over night.

She fed Abby, put in Aladdin then beat up her punching bag. showered and stared at the phone and wondered what Brian was doing, now that he knows about her deep dark secret.

Oh dear god, I am sorry Abby.

Finally Sarra went to the basement and buried herself in the second collection of dolls the ones that arrived this morning. She actually held her breath as she unwrapped them. These dolls were rare.Sarra began peeling off the clothes to get a better look starting with there skirt and petticoats, the bloomers.'

Oh damn the legs were damaged. Tiny hairline fractures crawled through the dolls legs like spiderwebs as if something had landed  on the doll,or it had been dropped. She sighed, damage like this was difficult to repair. and even the best repairs were visible through a black light.

She sat down at her computer wanting to loose herself and pass time it worked until the phone rang.

Her heart thumped. Brian?

"Hi baby."

Terror crashed in Sarra tempered it with fury.

"I have been missing you. Brandon said."And I know you can't wait to see me."

"I can't wait to see you dead."

He laughed."Such a spit fire. I would enjoyed you about an hour ago.when the woman I was with proved to be .. boring."

A chill spilled down her spine."What do you mean?"

"I mean there wasn't even a fight No pain no suffering no pleading. She just fell  in her own van and I shot her."

Oh god, oh god.

"I didn't even have the luxury to hear her scream. But that is all right, I have others to keep me going until its your turn."

Sarra swallowed the bile nearly choking.

"What are you doing? It is me you hate?" she said.""Why would you hurt any one else?"

"Oh no." He whined "You mean I am not hurting you? But I swear that is pain I hear in your voice."

Sarra sank to her knees she might not have realized it except the think, sound she heard, when she landed."S-stop. Don't hurt anyone else."

"Very nice Sarra. I love to hear you plead, It is sweet to know you are finally suffering."

Hold on don't pass out It is to late for deals. to late for anything. Dayna Tyler could help with. Too late to protect Abby, just make him end it.

"Then come." she said low."Come and get me. I am the one you want. you want me to plead? "I will plead you bastard "I will scream and cry all you want. I'll beg--

His laugh cut her off low and evil."Be careful what you wish for doll."

Click.

"NOOOOO! the phone slid from Sarra's hands. She folded down and held herself tight, then leaned herself back on her heels rocking.

He was murdering women. Not seven years ago now. Last week. Last night. An hour ago.All she ever thought was to keep her secret and keep Abby safe. And all along Brandon had been killing woman on his way to her.

She went to the desk unit of the phone. Hand shaking she punched the CID button. The number came up area code 850.

Panama city oh god.

She rooted through her purse until she found Brian's phone number dialed. please hold.. out of service area..

But Brandon was near. Area code 850 she had to get Abby from here.

Stay there until you hear from me.. trust me..

Sarra palmed her cheeks dry. She went upstairs and checked on Abby who was in a movie like trance. and retrieved the 9mm from its secret compartment. she checked the cartlige and jacked it close. then made sure there was a extra bullet in the chamber.

Focus now her brain was guiding her rather than emotions. Sarra pulled a suitcase from the closet in the guest bedroom it was already packed. the only thing to add was Abby's tooth brush a few toys she would have missed and Justice's leash and food. Sarra collected all that and a pillow for Abby. then picked up a hedgehog that was Justice's favorite toy stuffed it in the suitcase.

In three more Min's the durango was loaded with Sarra's purse the dog the toys and the suitcase. She went upstairs.

"Hey Abby complained when Sarra turned off the tv.

"How many times have you seen this movie?" Sarra asked forcing a smile.

Abby giggled."About thirty hundred thousand."

"That is what I thought so listen How would you like to go see aunt Emily and Uncle Christian tonight instead of waiting till morning.?"

"Tonight? Right now?"

"Right now lets hurry. Run to the bathroom first its a long drive."

"OK." Abby ran ahead and in two more min they were on the road as soon as she was out of the city she dialed Emily.

The first lies had been so hard they were coming much more easlily now.
