Dying for Love

There once was a girl
Who fell in love with her best friend
They promised to stay together
Until the very end
This relationship was different
They both were depressed
They were always so worried
And extremely stressed
The girl tried overdosing
The boy tried cutting his wrists
The girl was in the hospital
And his veins were missed
His arms were scarred
And her skin was pale
His best friend was a razor
And her enemy was a scale
Every day at school
The girl was crying
She always told her boyfriend
She was tired of trying
The boy was abused
His family didn't care
He wanted to die
But his girlfriend was always there
They made a deal
That if one of them were to die
The other does to
Because they didn't want to try
The girl was awfully thin
She didn't care about her health
She would starve until she was skinny
Then she would be happy with herself
The boy couldn't stop cutting
He needed to release all the pain
Every cut he gave himself
Kept him sane
One late night
The boy wrote a suicide note
He kept on crying
But his mind kept saying "don't"
He sent his girlfriend a text
"Hey my dear
I'm sorry I couldn't stay
You'll always be on my mind
Day after day"
He cut his wrists
Until he fell to the floor
He was finally dead
He's nothing anymore
The girl read the text
And she just cried
She sat on her bed thinking
"My love has died"
She took all the pills at once
And she dropped the bottle to the ground
She hit the floor
She couldn't move or make another sound
You see they both died to be together
Because they were each others life
And when he died
She had to be with him that night
They both had to be together. Suicide took away his life but heartbreak and pain took away hers.
