Two months had passed since Dan and Phil's argument. Two months since Phil discovered the fortunately he wasn't a single parent, but unfortunately the other father was his best friend.
Dan had finally convinced Phil to move in again, but instead of their comfortable home, they decided to get a bigger apartment. They couldn't buy a house because technically they were just
co-parents, not in an actual relationship.
Throughout this all, Dan had been questioning himself. He had recently been thinking a lot about what Blake had said. Was he really in love with Phil? No. That was his best friend!
But when Dan thought about Phil, the only word that came to his mind was beautiful. Everything about him. His eyes, his body, his pale skin... incomparable to anything. The only thing that outdid all of that was Phil's personality. His utterly beautiful personality. The thought of anyone else having him made Dan shake with anger. Dan didn't know what love was anymore.
If what he had with Blake wasn't love, then what was love?
If what he felt for Phil was love, then he was in a lot of trouble.
