Chapter 2

Abdulkadir POV

Colonel Abdulkadir Muhammad. My father Alhaji Muhammad Ismail has two wives,Umma and Ummi. Umma is my mother and the first wife. I have two siblings Sani and Aisha and my step mom has two children Ni'ma and Hamza. My Uncle Alhaji Haruna (daddy) has one wife(mama) and 3 children. Sudais, Abubakar and Hafsah.

I just returned from Kaduna where I work and headed straight to my grandma section. There I saw my sisters and grandma eating dinner together. After dinner my sister bade us goodnight and I chatted with my grandma before going to see my parents.

'Abdulkadir won't you make us proud by getting a wife. You are the eldest in this house but you still don't have a life partner. Please dear try and get a good life partner so that you can complete half your seen and your siblings will respect you more'. Hajiya persuaded.

'Hajiya you always talk about marriage. Bakya kishina ne' (ain't you jealous). Abdulkadir said.

'Am not jealous o am eager to have a Co wife. And if you don't have any girl then I can choose for you'.Hajiya said.

'Hajjaju kenan, in shaa Allah I will get a wife soon' Abdulkadir said smiling.

'I wish you can get one soon so that we can merge it with Aisha own'. Abdulkadir said.

'Hajiya this children will disrespect me. You always like comparing me and them'.Abdulkadir said a little bit sad.

'Look at you, sai shegen son girma. Let me tell you something, it's either you marry before Aisha or we'll join the wedding'. Hajiya told him matter of factly.

'Haba hajiya, have you ever seen where a guy is forced to marry?' He said smiling

'Za'a fara daga kanka' (it will start from you). She said smiling too.
He bade her good night and went to bed because it's late already, he will greet his parents the next day.
