Human ~~ Jasper Whitlock - Hale ~~~

Today is the visit to the court house for my adoption. I get dressed in the clothes I picked out. Rosalie compliments me, of course. Jasper kisses my forehead before he leads me to Carlisle's car.

"I'll be here when you guys return." Jasper kisses my cheek before he goes back inside.

I slide into the car and I fasten my seatbelt. I sigh in sadness as memories of my mom healthy come to my head. I stare out the window with a tear strolling down my right cheek.

We finally make it to the court house. I follow my biological father and Carlisle inside the building. We go to the designated room and hey begin to fill out the annual adoption papers.

When everything is legal, dad goes to tell the family of mom's death and my being adopted. Carlisle and I drive home. I enter the house and Jasper is lifting the fire for me. I throw my jacket on the chair and I wrap my arms around Jasper's neck.

"Miserable?" He asks.

"More like depressed." I murmur.

"Carlisle had the funeral for the day after tomorrow. Rosalie is bring you shopping tomorrow still, Edward is being Bella over today." Jasper mumbles. "The damn thing knows the secret too. We don't trust her."

I shrug. "Kay."

Edward then walks in with Bella. She smiles shyly at everyone. I collapse onto the chair and I stare into the fire. I miss my mom already and the just passed last night. Rosalie sits in the chair with me and she holds me like sisters do eachother.

"Who is she?" Bella asks, being nosy.

"That Jasper's mate, Penelope." Carlisle replenish. "Her mother passed last night, she is depressed right now."

I break into weaves and Jasper squats in front of me.

"Pen, breathe." Jasper scolds.

I am hyperventilating. Jasper is smacking my face lightly to get me back to breathing normally.

"Penelope, this isn't funny, breathe." Jasper panics.

The room suddenly goes black.

I wake up in a hospital bed and wires connected to me. I am in an actual hospital. Jasper is beside my bed watching me as I examine my surroundings.

"You fainted." Jasper says. "Scared the heck outta me."

I apologize to him, receiving a hug. He kisses my forehead when he pulls away.

"Rosalie must be going crazy, I'll call and tell her you woke. She went apeshit crazy when you fainted on us." Jasper chuckles before exiting the room.

I press the nurse call button for some water. The nice female nurse brings me a glass of ice water then she leaves. Jasper walks in with Rosalie behind him. She hugs me before taking Jasper's seat. He sits on the window seal, watching Rosalie talk my ear off.

"Bella didn't know what to do when I went bazzerk over your fainting, she thinks I hate all humans." Rosalie kisses my forehead.

"But ya love me." I wink.

Rosalie giggles as Carlisle walks in, all in his doctors suit. He smiles at me being awake and s signs my discharge papers. He signs out of work and he drives me home. Jasper carries me to the second floor where Esme has made me a turkey club sandwich.

"Thank you, Esme." I comment.

After eating, Jasper lets Emmett carry me to my new room while he hunts. Emmett is so muscular, I don't mind. He lays me softly in my bed and he tucks me in.

"Stay with me, I feel safer when I'm not alone." I plead.

Emmett agrees with a nod and he sits on the bed with me, above the covers. Rosalie climbs under the blanket with me and she twirls my hair. Tomorrow I am going shopping. I close my eyes and Rosalie's hair twirling puts me to sleep.
