The family just left for day 1 of the fight. Laurent showed up before they were ready. I lace my books up and I skip downstairs. I sit on the balcony with Laurent.

"Hungry?" I ask him.

"Just a tad." He replies.

I smirk and I climb in his lap. He takes my arm and he bites down roughly. He slurps some blood then he stops himself, wiping his mouth. I get off of him and I walk to the edge of the balcony.

"Jasper is a lucky vampire." Laurent comments.

"Why do you say that?" I ask.

"You are mighty beautiful." Laurent compliments. "Young and beautiful."

I blush. "Thank you, nomad."

Laurent chuckles until we hear a twig snap. He growls and he jumps off the balcony. I in to the edge and see a red haired nomad. That's Victoria. Laurent stands his ground to protect me as Victoria tries to get past him. I hid behind the railing of the balcony while he kills her. Wen I see flames, I stand up. Laurent killed Victoria.

He flies back up to the balcony and he dusts oh his jacket. I smile at him before he hugs me. He sighs and he watches out. They fight begins tomorrow for good. Riley will probably go after Bella and Edward, since Victoria was killed. Riley appears in the backyard. He and Laurent fight until he kills Laurent.

He looks up at me before he flashes off towards the battle grounds. My body guard is gone. This can't be good. I go inside the house and I lock my doors.

A banging on the door catches my attention. I look out the door and see Sam Uley. I sigh in relief and I open the door.

"I'm the new guard." He says jokingly.

"Come in, Sam." I smile.

We enters the hose and we go up to the kitchen after locking not the door back. I make us something to eat before I go up to my room. I change into some pajamas and I climb into my bed. Sam comes up when I begin to shiver. He lays over the covers and wraps one arm around me. Once I am warm enough, I drift off to sleep.
