shawn's POV

stella rested her head on my shoulder and things just felt right.

she got up and gazed at me

"so what now?" i asked

"i dont really wanna get in to a relationship right away. especially after cameron and everything" she said looking at the ceiling

"i understand." i said kind of disappointed

"but. that doesn't mean i dont like you." a huge grin went across her face

"im just so shocked" i felt a huge smile on my face too

"why." she said looking deep in to my eyes

"youre cute. funny. sweet." she said tickling me

i blushed.

"awww little shawn is blushing! little shawn has a crush!" she use to always taunt me the same way in like 7th grade

"stop!" i laughed tickling her

she pinned me down to the floor.

she was a pretty good wrestler.

when both of my shoulders were down on the ground, she kissed me on the cheek.

i felt my cheeks get hot.

she released me and we sat on my bed.

"so we're just friends again?" i said pouting

"no." she shook her head

"best friends." she smiled and gave me a big hug.

my mom barged in to my room and saw us practically about to kiss.

"hey guys" she said knocking even though she already had the door wide open

"are you guys dating??" she grinned

she always insisted we were perfect for each other.

whatever that meant.

"well. no." i answered

i was always pretty straight up with my mom.

"its complicated" stella smiled.

"im so glad!" she covered her smile with her hands

god damn it mom.

stella got up from the bed and said she was gonna go home.

but my mom stopped her in her tracks.

"please stay here. i know you're lonely in that big house. you can sleep with shawn i trust you guys"

this is from the woman who covers my eyes when there's makeout scenes in movies.

"i couldnt.." stella said shaking her head

"please stella." my mom said awkwardly putting her hand on her shoulder.

"if its okay with you..." stella said sitting down next to me

"yes! we insist!" my mom ran out my room all giddy and happy

"the hell was that." i laughed when she left

"this is our first sleepover" stella said with an adorable grin

"i know. in the like 10 years we've known each other" i said, unable to get over her beauty.

"what are you staring at." stella laughed shyly.

"sorry. youre. kinda. hot." i said under my breath

she pushed me off the bed and i fell to the ground.

she got on top of me and i kissed her before she could kiss me.

"haha." i smiled as we locked lips.

stella's POV

me and shawn were laying in his bed when we started to get tired.

i've slept in the same bed as shawn at the hotel at magcon and at summer camp. but obviously things were a lot different.

he put his hands around my waist and pulled me in really close to him.

it felt. perfect.

"are you tired" he whispered

"not really" i giggled

"me neither" he said squeezing me closer to him

i laughed and he whispered

"do you think we'll ever be together"

that was a tough question.

"i hope so"

"but if we're not together. what is this?" he laughed referring to us spooning

he released me and i quickly grabbed his hands and put them back in to place

"i like it." i said burying my face in to his chest

he brushed my hair with his fingers.

i woke up to the sound of his morning voice

"morning stells"

so raspy and beautiful

"good morning." i smiled

"sorry if i look like shit" i said covering my face

"nah. you look so pretty." he said moving the hair from my face

"thanks." i grinned

i never felt happier.
