Dan held on to Phil's hand tightly as they sat in the waiting area at the police station. Dan watched his boyfriend, he had developed dark bags under his eyes, his hair was a mess and he had the shakes.
"It's going to be okay, Phil." Dan said in a hushed tone.
"I'm sorry, Dan."
"What for? You silly goose. I love you and I'm here to support you, there is no need to apologise."
