I just left the meeting now im picking joelle up from school i pulled in joelle wasnt outside so i parked and walked in when i got to her class i opened the door walking in cathy looked at me immediately walked over to me i knew what she was about to say
Cathy:Mr.Anoai Joelle told me what happened yesterday
Me:I know and im really sorry i just couldnt help it i really like her
Cathy:sorry for what my daughter now has a special man in her life im happy when do you plan on asking her out
Me:I kinda already did
Cathy:When were you gonna tell me

Cathy:Im glad when my daughter gets out in 3 months i want you to make her very happy

Joelle walked over to me with her backpack on

Cathy:Your father has something to tell you
I kneeled down to joelles height she looked me in the eye

I nodded joelle squealed in excitement

Me:Honestly i dont care about how your mom will feel about adeline as long as she doesnt touch her we are good

I pulled into the driveway cutting the car off joelle got out running to the mailbox i got out walking in the house walking upstairs and going to bed
The next day
I woke up to a banging on the front door i walked downstairs opening it to see galina
Galina:i came to get the rest of my things
I let her in she walked upstairs i sat on the couch cutting on the tv joelle came downstairs crawling on the sofa beside me
30 minutes later
Galina came downstairs with bags full of her clothes and stuff
Galina:Joe can you help me carry this to my car
I got up grabbing two of the bags and carrying them outside to her car putting them in the trunk she put the last two in there i went to go back in the house i was stopped
Galina:Joe wait
Me:What
Galina:Can we at least talk about keeping our family together
Me:Too late i actually have a faithful girlfriend
Galina expression dropped and she fake smiled
Galina:oh wow that was quick
Me:easy to replace a cheater
Galina looked at the ground i continued walking into the house shutting the door and locking it i looked at joelle who was watching tv i walked back upstairs i gotta get all the sleep i can for work tonight then it hit me whos gonna watch joelle my parents couldn't they are out of town i scrolled threw my contacts texting Cathy
To cathy:
Can you please babysit joelle tonight I'll pay you
I cut my phone off then went to sleep
20 minutes later
I woke up to my phone buzzing i read my text
From cathy:
Sure I'll watch her dont worry about paying you payed enough by making my daughter happy
Me:Joelle!!!
Joelle walked into my room
Me:Your gonna stay with ms bates tonight while i work okay

Me:Be on your best behavior

Joelle walked back downstairs i went back to sleep

Guard:Lynn you have a visitor
I got outta bed following the guard to the visiting center i thought it was joe but it wasnt its my mom i walked over to the table sitting across from her

Cathy:Hi honey hows prison

Cathy:Have you been writing to joelle
Me:Yea i just sent in a letter

A smile grew on my face

Me:Yes im actually glad you did this mom

Me:Im waiting for these three months to be up

Joe pov
I got dressed and packed my bag when the doorbell rang i walked downstairs opening the door to see cathy
Me:She's upstairs i won't be back till midnight so make yourself comfortable
Cathy;ok
Then i left i didn't have to be there until 9 pm so i wanted to make a stop

I was in the cafeteria picking at the slop on my plate they call food when the same girl that i fought last week walked over to me
???:i thought i told you not to sit in my seat your in my seat

Guard;lynn lunch time is over for you
I got out of my seat leaving

I went to hit her but the guard pushed me back

I was walking when i looked in the visiting center to see joe i walked in he looked up smiling at me i walked over to him we kissed

Me:I miss you too even though i just saw you yesterday

Joe:Theres like 4 guards that were surrounding you
