And even as I tell you to be gentle
You tear me apart
With steel hands and dark eyes
And I wonder how you won my heart
Because once you were so kind
With galaxies inside your mind
That you let me see, that you let me hold
But we have left that time behind
Now you are cruel and commanding
Can I blame you or myself
Were you hiding behind a facade
Or did I reach into your soul and pull out something else
Now there is no whisper of galaxies
You have found the weakness in my heart
And you mold me with it, steel against the flame
My soul is coming apart.
