"Hey!"

He skated over, with something in his hand. Once he stopped a few feet away, he avoided my eyes and looked away, shyly.

"Umm..." I started.

"Sorry, umm, but my friend asked me if I could get your autograph..." He bit his lip.

I blushed. "Oh, umm, okay."

He looked up. His eyes were as sad and tired as the last time I saw them. He slowly handed the magazine, along with a pen.

"Thanks. What's her name?"

"Mila," he answered.

I opened the magazine to the page with my interview on it, then in the blank space above my pictures, I sighed it; "Dear Mila. Wishing you love and joy from [F/N]" then sighed it at the bottom.

I handed it back. He nodded.

There was a small pause.

"So, you're a figure skater? You're really famous here," I said.

"Mmm, yeah, I guess so," he shrugged. "And you're famous too."

"Not here," I muttered. "It's nice though. I can finally go to eat in peace."

He made some sort of laughing noise, but without smiling. Realising I wasn't a threat, he answered. "Yeah. That's the same for me when I visited London. Nobody really knew me until I won a skating competition there. That'll be the same for you, you'll do your filming, then by the time the film is released, you'll be famous."

That was straight forward. I raised my eyebrows. "Great," was all I said.

Another pause. It was so awkward. I took a minute to look at him. It didn't feel like I was talking to a mega sporting star; more like a sad teenager who doesn't know where he belongs. Strange to think he's the same strong, confident looking person I saw on the poster.

I think my comment threw him off guard, and he looked away. I shrugged awkwardly.

"Umm, so, have you gotten used to skating yet?" He asked again, this time avoiding my glance.

"Oh, umm, yeah, I think so."

Even if he were celebrities, we were still awkward, embarrassed seventeen year olds.

He nodded. This time, I tried making conversation. "So, you're on the olympic team?" I nodded at his jacket, that had the Olympic symbol on the side.

He looked over, then shrugged. "Yeah. I was chosen last year for the Games in South Korea next year."

"Oh yeah. That's amazing. Congratulations."

Did he just blush?

He looked behind me, to again avoid looking into my eyes, then waved at somebody from behind. I turned and saw Irina watching. I waved, and she waved back, raising an eyebrow slightly.

I turned back around, then moved away slightly. He nodded again, watching the floor. He looked at the magazine, then up to my eyes, where he froze. I felt my throat gulp.

"Umm, yeah. Thank you." He blinked, killing the moment, then proceeded to skate away.

I heard footsteps, as Irina shook her head, walking over to lean on the wall. I skated over to talk to her.

"Classic Yuri," she chuckled to herself.

"Is that what he's always like?"

"Yeah. He's a funny one. Takes a while to warm to people. I can just about get a wave from him."

I couldnt help but look over again. He rolled up the magazine and put it in his bag. When I turned to Irina, she smiled.

"I just finished tidying. Thought I'd come and see how you're doing."

"Oh, I'm okay I think.

"Need a hand?"

"Umm, actually..."

"Yeah?"

"Well, I have to do a full circle thing."

"Oh, okay."

"It's just, I can barely do a straight line..."

She grinned. "Not a problem. I'll get some skates on and I'll show you now."

She came back a few minutes later, with some ice skates on, then I watched her slide effortlessly onto the ice.

"Like this?" She said, while going around in a graceful circle around the rink.

"Yeah! Wow, you're perfect at it!"

She grinned. "Thank you! Now, come here and I'll show you how to do it."

I joined her. She took my hand, and we skated around in a circle.

"You have to put your weight on this leg. That'll push you into the circle shape then."

"Okay."

"Try on your own?"

"Umm..." but before I could say anything, she let go of me, and I tried straightening up.

"Circle shape remember!" She called from the sidelines. I took a deeo breath, then did as she said.

Foolishly, I closed my eyes, and the only sign I got that I was doing it right was the sound of Irina cheering from the side.

"See! Good job! I knew you could do it!"

I stopped myself, then tried once more, this time with Irina following behind.

We laughed and enjoyed each others company practicing for another half an hour, then retreated to the sidelines to talk.

As I did so, I took another glance down at the blond boy, with his earphones in, dancing around the ballroom of an icerink.

I tried as best as I could not to gawp in awe.

"He's amazing, isn't he?" Irina was leaning her arms on the short wall, letting her feet slip on the ice.

"Yeah, he is."

I sat on the step of the entrance leading onto the ice, and we got to know each other. From childbirth to now. I was actually making a friend. It wasn't important that I was a celebrity. She wasn't asking about that, she was asking about other things. My family, my hobbies, celebrity crushes, things normal girls talk about.

We must have been talking for a while, because I saw Yuri start packing his things. The time on my phone read five o' clock.

"Hungry? I know where the staff keep the biscuits. Would you like some tea? Russian tea is the best!" She stood up.

"Oh, go on then," I answered, standing up to follow her.

But before I could follow her into the staff room, a familiar laughing voice was heard from the entrance.

Yuri was walking down, towards the entrance, and also stopped a few meters away, with a raised eyebrow.

Will, and the two adults who are with Yuri came walking in. They walked straight towards me, Will smiling proudly at me.

He looked up to see Yuri behind us, walking over.

"Ahh, you're both here" he started. "We've made an arrangement. One that will make both of you very popular."

"Okay..."

"From today onwards, you two are dating!"

I froze. I didn't even need to look, to know that Yuri felt the same.

"What!?" We cried in unison.
