Staring into his light brown eyes,
I knew there was something dwindling
that made my heart want to give up
this boundary that I set.
Yet I held myself back from finding out what it meant.
What they sparkled for,
wished for,
craved for.
Because if I was to know
It meant that I couldn't look back,
I couldn't undo the feelings that
Electrified me like a million city lights
Awakening the somber night.
Prying my eyes away from him,
He grasped my hand in his.
Cupping my face in those soothing
hands.
In that moment,
My heart was cornered between my
desire for him and the logic of the situation.
I was caught in my sweet lie.
Connecting our lips,
soft to the touch,
the secret was out.
Yours and Mine.
In an instant.
