Staring at the screen.
The solid black lettering, permanently engraved.
Cruel words picking at my brain.
Spiraling down into my defenseless bleeding heart.
Pressing my back against the cold door, I clenched my fists tight like it was my strength to hold on an emotional anchor.
The air exiting between my shivering lips, uneven with small whimpers
Placing the back of my small hand to my mouth.
Silencing myself from the true pain my being wanted to reveal.
Waterfalls awaiting a slow descend, sipped over.
Drip. Drop. Drip. Drop.
I remember when my heart would make
that exact beat when you were still here.
