"Hello?" Sam said, answering the phone.

"I'm so sorry Sam! I shouldn't have ignored you on the way home, I'm just so scared. I know you are too and I was so stupid for giving you the silent treatment. I'm so sor-"

"Babe, calm down and let me talk." Sam interrupted her. She took a deep breath. "You don't need to apologize. We're both pretty scared but I think we just need to be there for each other and talk about what we're going through."

"I agree, I'm still sorry for ignoring you."

"Hey, what'd I say about apologizing?" He chuckled.

"Oops, sorry. Oh god there I go again." They both giggled.

"Did you tell your dads about the appointment?" Sam asked.

"Yeah, they said they're disappointed but that they'll be there for us."

"That's what mine said too."

"Sam?" Rachel paused after saying his name.

"Yeah?" He answered. She was sniffling.

"I..I'm so scared." She finally spat out.

"So am I babe, but we're gonna be just fine." He said reassuring.

"I'm worried about telling everyone and what they're going to think."

"Don't worry about that babe. It doesn't matter what they think because they aren't us and if they really cared about us then they'd be supportive and not judge."

"Yeah, I'm so glad that I'm going through this with you, I wouldn't want to with anyone else but you."

"I feel the same way. I love you Rachel."

"I love you too!" Sam could hear the smile in her voice as she said that.

"I have to admit that at the doctors when we first heard the baby's heartbeat, I got excited. I mean, it was our baby's heart that we were hearing." He smiled.

"It was a pretty amazing feeling, I got teary eyed."

"Me too."

"How come you didn't wanna know if it was a boy or girl?" Rachel asked.

"I think it makes it more fun to be surprised." Sam answered. "Why?"

"Just wondering cause I was thinking the same thing."

"Great minds think alike." Sam said.

"What do you think it is though?" Rachel asked. Sam thought for a minute.

"I'm pretty sure it's a boy, at least that's what I'm hoping for, what about you?"

"I'm 99.9 percent sure it's a girl."

"Nope you're wrong. It's a boy!"

"Okay Evans, the bet is on!"

"Hell yes it is!"

"What are you gonna give me when I win?" She questioned him.

"I think you mean what are you going to get me?" Sam chuckled.

"Hmm... I'm going to have to think about this."

"Me too, I'm gonna have to sleep on this. I've gotta come up with something good."

"Yes. Well, it's getting late, I'll see you in the morning." Rachel said.

"Bright and early!" Sam yawned.

"Get some rest, I love you."

"Love you too." They hung up.

The next morning, Sam picked Rachel up, and other than talking about school and sectionals, they were quiet. Sam got what he needed from his locker and then leaned against the one beside Rachel's as she got what she needed. Once it was in her bag, and took it from her so she wouldn't have to carry it, as they had their first two classes together. Since there was 15 minutes until the bell rang, they stood in the hall talking.

"So, uh, what did your dads say about you being...pregnant?" He whispered the last part. She bit her lip.

"They were both really supportive. They weren't mad. They asked me what you thought about it, but we hadn't talked much, which I'm really sorry about again, I shouldn't have-"

"Rach, I already told you, it's okay." She nodded."But they were really supportive. What did your parents say?"

"I uh, when I got home, I kinda got upset. Not mad or anything, just...crying. My mom made me feel better and said that I'd be an awesome dad. My dad said he was disappointed, but they weren't mad." Sam chuckled."He said he was too young to be a grandpa." Rachel giggled. She held her arms out to him. He hugged her and she put her head on his chest, rubbing her hands up and down his back.

"You still think it's a boy?" She asked jokingly. Sam scoffed.

"Rach, I'm positive it's a boy." He said. She rolled her eyes playfully and giggled.

"Sure." She rolled her eyes playfully. "So, what do you win if it's a boy?

"Hm. I was thinking that winner picks the name." He said. She looked at him, an eyebrow raised.

"I like that." She said. She jumped when Kurt walked up behind them and said,

"Hey girl!" She turned around and smiled at him.

"Hey Kurt."

"Why weren't you two at practice yesterday?" Kurt asked sternly. Sam and Rachel looked at each other for a split second.

"We uh, my dads needed help with something at home, and it was urgent."

"Oh, what was it?" He asked.

"One of the lights on the stage was messed up, and they were afraid to touch it and get electrocuted." Rachel said. He raised an eyebrow.

"And Sam had to go with you for that?"

"He fixed it." Sam nodded in agreement.

"Oh, okay. Well, let's go ahead to class." He said, and linked arms with Rachel and began walking away. Rachel looked back at Sam, who was walking behind them. He grinned and winked at her and she smiled at him.
