A/N guys! Lauren was 12 or 13 in this. i'm freaking out. Also, the timeline is going to be a bit off (or completely wrong) for the videos so that way it'll work into the story better.

It had been a few days since Taylor flew back home, and it seemed as if Lauren and Dani were going through withdraws. They had to focus back on the real world, and upcoming situations, which involves moving halfway across the country.

Meanwhile back in Washington, Taylor was finding herself on her phone every waking moment. She decided that if she missed her best friends and her girlfriend, that she would watch their videos.

And that's what she did. As soon as she got back into Washington, she made her way to the library. There she would have free wifi and quiet to watch the old videos.

The first few videos that came up when she typed in cimorelli were "One Thing" by 1d, "Cups", and "Call Me Maybe."

She decided to watch Cups first, because it was their most viewed video. The bow, that black and white striped bow in her hair was the first thing she noticed. It was big - and stood out to her. Then she noticed how young they looked, and that Dani looked like a baby compared to her now.

When they started playing, she felt an overwhelming joy, and a smile drawn on her face. She sat there in awe, just watching. The first thing that brought her thoughts back was when Lauren fumbled with her cup in the second verse. It was cute. The second thing was Lauren's voice. Her solo was short, but it brought Taylor back to reality. It really showed how far she's come, all of them actually.

After a few more videos, she landed on Problem. She just couldn't get herself over Lauren. Her thoughts were swarming around, all about Lauren, how cute she was, her voice, her crazy antics. During this video she couldn't help but laugh (quietly, as she was in a library) at her whispering of "I've got one less problem without'cha," and her dance moves.

Taylor sat there for hours. Just watching videos. She had seen most of them before, but knowing that Lauren was hers now, all she wanted was to be with her. Living over 700 miles from her almost broke her heart every time Taylor thought about it.

And her thoughts drifted off again - she didn't want her life to become a sob story. So what I have bruises, those will go away, my dad will go away. He doesn't come looking for me so what does he care if I never go back. Maybe I'll never go back. But I have to go to school. I can get on fine though. I won't need to have any more bruises. I can - I will be better. For myself and for Lauren. I know she doesn't want some girl who is sad all the time. Wow. That can't be me. I'll be happier, I'll be safer- for her.

Once she got out of her head, went back to their main channel, and saw one of their original songs: You Got Me Good. It was an old one but Taylor thought it was cute, and because she missed her girl, she decided to send it to her.

700 miles away, Lauren was rehearsing with her sisters for their South American tour. They hadn't released the details of it yet, but they knew that time would go by fast so they had to take every opportunity they could.

But quite frankly, Lauren was getting bored. And it's not like she doesn't care for singing anymore, but Taylor is constantly on her mind now. All she wants to do is be with her and make her smile. She never wants to she her hurt again.

Everyday, since the day at the beach, she replays the scene in her head all night until she falls asleep - if she even does. The pain she could see in Taylor's eyes, and the fear in her body as she shook. Her grip, she held onto her so tight.  Lauren never wanted to let go. She wanted Taylor to know that she would protect her, from anything. And that feeling never went away anymore.

"That one was a little pitch-y guys. Again!"

Her next few hours drug on just like that. They'd practice one song until it was perfect and then go on to the next. She couldn't quite understand why she was out of touch with the world - she had a lot going for her. A girlfriend (a cute and goofy one at that), her band was going on tour, they released their first album. All of these good things and all she could think about was the thought that Taylor went home, to her dad, her beat her.

She couldn't cope, she didn't know if she was still getting beaten. The time difference from the first time they say Taylor and when she flew down to them was four months. She had to have bruises those four months ago, and then new ones in between then. Dani told her some of them were old and clearly only still there because of the repetition, but others were newly bruising, and purple, with scabs that hadn't healed yet.

"You okay in there?"

Lauren was ripped from her thoughts and thrown back into the real world, from four words.

"Huh? Yeah. Sorry," she said as she shook her head to try to get the thoughts out.

"'Alright, um. I just wanted to say that you did good today," Lisa responded, a bit confused.

"Oh, thanks Lise," Lauren replied with a smile and quickly slipped up to her room. Most of it was all packed away, but she still a bed, which she gratefully jumped onto and closed her eyes. Just five minutes, just five minutes.

*Ding*

Lauren took a deep breath, considering the people who might be texting her. It could be Taylor, which would be the only one who she would answer, or it could be literally anybody else who wants to throw her head out of whack anymore than it already is.

From: Taylor

A wave of relief washed over her. As she read the text she felt her smile growing wider and wider. I got her good. She's really mine. Then opened the video and went to the time that Taylor sent her. Lauren couldn't help but cringe at the cheesy snapping but she laughed anyways because this meant that Taylor was watching their videos, and thinking about her too.
