chapter 8

I cut through the trees faster than light , with Percy, Piper and Crystal behind me. Finally my bare feet came to a halt....
            Bloody scene
Paisley lay on a rose bush. Her arms bended and legs twisted in an unnatural angle. Her head layed to the side , blood trickling down her forehead and dripping onto her chest. Her blonde hair was scattered around her face. A knife lay deep in Paisley's stomach, blood oozing from her core. But it was her eyes that got to me... Her eyes were wide open as if the frightful memory , seconds before her death went in a time loop in which she was stuck.. her eyes were glossy with fresh tears and fear. Her once tan skin was now pale and her pink lips were now blue.
Scene over
I collapsed to me knees and screamed in agony. Not long after Crystal, Percy and Piper finally caught up.. at the sight Piper screamed and rushed over to the body throwing her arms around her. Piper cried into Paisley as Percy watched. I sat looking into the woods.. something wasn't right. Percy could sense it too. He picked up Piper and threw her in my arms. Crystal was already running back. "Go." He said as he caressed our hair." Nononono o ononono please no ..." Piper mumbled. I cried in response. "Piper " he said softly. " No! I'm not leaving without you!" She screamed as she grabbed onto Percy's neck. I could now make out what was footsteps and the crunching of the woods behind us. He hugged her and kissed her forehead one last time before I clutched on and kept running. " Percy! Percy!!" She screamed. But I knew Percy was gone.. I threw her inside the cabin and locked all doors and windows. I could see her trying to get out so I tied her hands together and threw her on the floor as I collapsed and began to cry. I had never had my heart feel so crushed before. I sobbed as thunder cracked and rain began to fall. I didn't sleep that night. I sat in my tears hoping it was a nightmare.... But I never woke up.... Because it was never a dream
