The next few weeks, feeling alone in the house to feeling like I lived with Ess and Cameron full time. I wasn't complaining though, the more distractions the better. At this point Kilo and Tory quickly became in stitched in the group. If we wasn't all out somewhere, Kilo and I would be together almost everyday.

My mom was out the house more often. She kept blaming it on her listings but I think it has something to do with that man shes talking too. I wouldnt see my girls in a handful of days at a time. Every time I seen her in person its a "good morning, goodnight" type of thing. She swore up and down she was good but it just didn't feel the same anymore. My mom was the type to always be in my business. Now it wasn't much more than a short conversation or a Cash app.

Poor Cam has been running around with his head cut off. You could tell he's been trying to maintain some type of normalcy in the house. The other day I came home to a smoky house because he was trying to cook my favorite meal. I know my brother loves me but it really, really showed these days. That boy is really my rock.

Kilo and I were almost inseparable. His family and I also became super close. His grandmother has been seriously ill for the past couple of days, so we kind of been each other's back bone. He has opened up to me a lot lately, maybe because he felt that he had to, maybe he trusted me. Whatever the reason was I enjoyed getting to know Terrell who was literally polar opposite of his street act.

I looked out the window, watching Myli and this nigga she was talking to closely. I sat in the parking lot waiting on her so I can take her to the mechanic. I inched up closer to them blaring my horn. I busted out laughing as I watched their heads whip around to the car.

Where the fuck do Justin ass even be coming from I thought to myself as I lifted my chin up. I hit the horn again and waved my hand over. I was bored and hungry. I watched her say her goodbyes and slide into my passenger shit. Her scent filled my nostrils. I swiped my tongue over my bottom lip to keep from smiling. I could identify her in a crowd off her scent again.

"Where you wanna eat?" I asked turning down the radio

"Hmm," She said tapping her manicured nail on her chin. "I want bbq's, You want bbqs?" She said looking up at me

"Bruh we went there two days ago" I groaned

"Okay, well we don't have to eat there. Its fine" She said sinking into her seat

"You better be lucky you mad cute. We can joke go bbq's for the fifty-seventh time this week. Dont worry about me and my stomach" I joked seeing her crack a smile from the corner of my eye.

I turned right onto 42nd and pulled the car to parallel park. We got out and made it into the restaurant hand in hand. Surprisingly, the wait was less than twenty minutes.  The waiter led us to the booth and took our orders. Soon after, our food came. I looked at her while she nibbled on her wings. I couldn't tell you the feeling I had for her but it was different. Most of these women out here give me moth vibes, she give a nigga butterflies. It was always a vibe chilling with Myli. I looked her laughing and chuckle. She laughing like shit funny. Like I wont lay her ass out right on this table I thought.

I put some money in the book and handed it to the waiter. I stretched my arms out and laid against the seat. "This shit was hittin' tonight" I said rubbing my stomach. Myli nodded her head and yawned. my baby sleepy I thought

Leilani came over to us looking different. "Oh its real interesting seeing you here"

If looks can kill me and Myli would both be six feet under. Leilani and I had history that went way back. We have known each other since we was literal kids. We were a year apart, and damn near family. Her grandmother was my grandmother's best friend.  She was the homie until one day shorty just started acting different. Lei's granny dead now, so naturally my family took her under their wings. I guess that made her think we were gonna have a fairytale relationship—nah.
