Mom and Dad are scarily calm. Why are they calm? Shouldn't they be yelling at me? Why aren't they yelling? I deserve it.
All they keep telling me is that everything's going to be okay, and I'm going to be safe. They're not going to let anything happen to me.
It's too late for that.
