On the way home, she complained that she was hungry, that her stomach felt bad. If I could, I would have given her all the food in the world. It wouldn't have made up for what I did to her, but it would have been a baby step in the right direction.
It's like Mom said. This family has a lot of repairing to do, and it's going to have to start with me.
