Hey guys back with a new chapter. I enjoyed writing this chapter. I hope you guys enjoy reading it also.
Ramsha's POV
We finally reached Maira's house. Ramiz parked the car and we both got out. We walked up to the entrance and rang the door bell. Moments later, Maira opened the door.
"Ramshuuuu! Heeey! I missed you so much!" She said, hugging me.
"I missed you too!" I said, hugging her back.
"Come on in! Sab tumse milne ke liye bohat excited hain!" She said
"Main bhii!" I responded.
Ramiz and I got into Maira's house.
"Ramshaa!" Hania excitedly said, coming towards me. "Welcome back, yaar! How are you? How was New York? How was uni? Tell me everything!" She said everything almost in a single breath.
"Usey andar aakar baithnay toh do na!" Maira said with a laugh, making all of us laugh.
We all got seated in the living room. We all talked about different things and I told them everything about New York.
After a long conversation and dinner, we decided to play truth and dare. We all sat down and made a circle for the game.
Moeez drank the last sip of soft drink from the bottle and we used that for the game.
"Who's gonna spin first?" Maira asked everyone.
"Meee!" Hania said and spinned the bottle. It stopped facing me and her on either sides.
"Okaay, Ramsha. Truth or dare?" Hania asked me.
"Dare, because you all know that I am a daredevil." I replied with a wink.
"Yeah yeah we all know that." Hania responded. She got up and picked up some cards from the table.
"Whats that?" I asked as she sat down.
"Some business cards from my dad's wallet... also your dare, daredevil." She replied.
"Main samjhi nahi.." I honestly said.
"Hum samjhaate hain." Moeez said taking the cards from Hania's hand. "Pick a random card." He said.
"Kyun?" I asked.
"Arre pick na!" He said.
I picked one of the cards and he kept the rest on the floor.
"Prank call this person." He said.
"What?! Pagal hogaye ho? Main nahi kar rahi. Pata nahi kon hai." I replied shaking my head reluctantly.
"Ohh, daredevil dar gayi?" He asked.
"Aisa nahi hai. Koi stranger hota toh karleti... but these are people Hania's dad knows - which also means people my dad knows as they're business partners." I told them.
"Ramshaa! Kitnay duur ki soch rahi ho?" He said with a laugh. "Chill, yaar! Kuch nahi hoga." He added.
"Haan, plus its just a prank call. Woh jo bhi hai, ek do din mein bhool bhi jaega iss baat ko." Hania said. "Aur woh na hi tujhe jaanta hai aur na hi kabhi jaane ga because..." she added, handing me out a phone. "You're gonna be calling with an unknown number." She completed her sentence.
I thought for a while before finally agreeing to call.
"Uff! Fine!" I said, taking the phone from Hania's hand.
I looked at the business card in my hand.
"Hadi Junaid" I read the name aloud and then dialed his number.
Hadi's POV
"Hadi, I am so angry on you. I felt so embarrassed in front of all my friends and its all because of you! Agar nahi aana tha toh keh dete na!" Nida said storming into my room.
"Listen, baby its not like what you are thinking." I said trying to calm her down. She had asked me to accompany her to one of her friends' party and I couldn't make it there because of a meeting. I love her but lately, she's been acting very bossy and I'm not liking that.
"Oh really? What is it like then?" She asked.
"Babe, I was busy in a meeting. Try to understand." I honestly told her. "Acha ek second ek call arahi." I told her as my phone rang. She seemed irritated but I had to answer because I was expecting an important call.
"Hello." I said as I answered the call.
"Hello sir, am I speaking to Mr. Hadi Junaid?" A feminie spoke from the other end of the line.
"Yes, who's this?" I asked.
"This is Hareem calling from the bank. This call is to inform you that the cheque you issued today of 1 million rupees has been successfully cashed. I'm sorry to be calling so late but we just wanted to confirm that you issued the check since it was a huge amount and that too cashed from an unusual location." She said and my eyes shot wide open.
"WHAT?! What are you talking about?" I panicked. "I didn't issue any cheque!" I added.
"Hello?" I spoke again but received no response and seconds later the call ended.
"What's wrong?" Nida asked.
"It was from the bank... someone cashed a million rupees cheque from me today but I never issued one." I told her.
She just rolled her eyes.
"Hadi, you're are the son and would be son-in-law of billionaires and you care about this one million?" She asked which annoyed me. "Shaadi ke baad yeh chhoti chhoti amounts par pareshan mat hona." She added, annoying me even more.
"Its not about billion, million or even thousand, Nida. This is my dad's hard work that went to waste." I replied.
"Daddy is right. Chhote logon ki soch nahi badal sakti." She said making me frown.
"What do you mean?" I asked.
"Chotay areas wale chahe London bhi kyun na shift hojaen, soch wahin ki rehti hai. Tum log toh phir sirf Defence shift hue ho." She replied which angered me.
"I can't believe I loved you." I honestly told her.
"You know what? I. Dont. Care." I said, making each word clear. "About you, about the partnership your dad is going to have with us, about this stupid relationship - I don't care about anything related to you!" I told her and she just stood there looking at me.
"Daddy was always right about you." She said.
"Oh shut up and get lost!" I yelled at her. I was scared that if she stayed here for one more second, I'd lose my patience.
She picked up her bag and stormed out of my room.
I sat on the sofa with holding my head in my hands.
