All of the Trilain who had been hit with the mutagen had grown substantially, received an extra pair of limbs, and all in all became a ton more scary than they already were.
Don't you dare touch her Criser growled at the Shredder and his goons, he still had the one scratch over his eye that made him look really intimidating."What are those monsters?" Shredder growled out the question in his low, gravelly voice.
"Umm...you wouldn't believe me if I told you," I said simply.
"You got that right," I spun around to face Mette and Marie and glimpsed the remnants of a portal behind them. Nikita, a giant phoenix looking thing, and a female archer also stood behind them.
"Mette! How's life? Oh, yeah, the Trilain," I laughed lamely and glanced around at the large dragon like birds, "well, the Shredder was about to mutate me when they came and shielded me from the mutagen, so please don't hurt me."
"Serina, I don't think I could do anything to you right now, good or bad."
"Who are you?" Shred-head interrupted our reunion; I grinned as a totally genius idea popped into my head.
"I'm the doctor, I'm a time lord from the planet Gallifrey in the consolation of Casteberus. I am 903 years old and the one-" I felt a sharp, familiar pain on my arm, "Ow, ow, ow... mercy!" Marie let go of my arm and shook her head.
"Serina you are none of those things," she sighed, "You are a writer from the planet earth, and you're only a junior in highschool."
"I know, but the opportunity to quote the Doctor was just too good," I said as I tried to gently brush the scraped skin off of my arm, "and technically I'm from the planet earth of the dimension Tierra Primal."
"What am I going to do with you?" she sighed and shook her head.
"Be my best friend and make my arm holey when I annoy you?" I tell her with a hopeful smile.
"Let's focus on getting out of here first," she turned to mount up onto Nikita, "Then I'll think about it."
"I really don't think that's going to be much of a problem," I tell her as I look at the now virtually empty room. Only Criser, a few of the Trilain, Marie, Nikita, the archer gal, and I remained. "Do you know where everyone went?"
A portion of my friends went to free the turtles and the girls. Mette also led a force to clear an exit for us to leave by Criser informed me, bringing his head down to my level."That was nice of them," Marie commented from atop her mount the archer, who I still didn't know, sat on the phoenix beside her, "Why don't we go now then?"
"Um...how will I-" Criser both interrupted me and answered my question by grabbing the back of my shirt and depositing me onto his back. I clutched onto his feathery neck as he started to move. We met up with the others and raced up towards the top of the building. It was sheer luck that I didn't fall off of Criser's back. There was now a giant hole in the roof to the throne room. Marie directed Nikita up through the hole and the Archer gal followed on the phoenix. Criser took off after them and I clenched my eyes shut and focused on hanging on for dear life. The wind rushed by and grabbed at my face and clothes. I could sense that other Trilain following us into the air. I couldn't really think clearly right now. Heights did that to me. It was a bit better when I was strapped into something and I knew it was fairly secure and safe; however, right now the only thing that was keeping me on Criser's back was pure willpower not to plummet to my death. I felt the wind buffet me even more and I opened one of my eyes a tiny bit and saw myself and Criser surrounded by the other Trilain. A few minutes later we landed on one of the taller buildings. The Trilain all either landed on the buildings next-door or didn't land at all and just hovered in the air over me. Marie and the archer dismounted and stood before me.
"Now," Marie started as she put her hands on her hips, "want to tell me why you were in that situation to begin with?"
