Serina's POV
Shade, Teton, Tearkan, Myra, Mozaku, and Melody all came with Marie and I to explain the situation that we faced with Mother Nature and her evil twin.
“So in short, if we don't find them both it could spell disaster not only for the country, but for the whole of reality as well,” I sum up all that the others had said.
“This matter should be handled by adults, not by you two,” boss agent, who we learned was named Quintin, said.
“We are adults,” Shade argues, crossing his arms over his chest as he did so.
“Not really. If you are what you say you are, then you are only as old as Miss Serina here.”
“That's really not how it works,” Myra told him, “If we were as old as how long Serina has had us in her head then we'd be even younger than she-”
“All the more reason to have my agents take care of it,” he waves a hand through the air in an almost dismissive gesture, “with one of you ‘legendaries' providing transportation of course.” All of the guys stare cautiously in Myra's direction as they took a step back. I would've laughed, except I was just as ticked as she was.
“Umm...Myra, you might want to back away,” Shade advised, his eyes never wavering. It was then that I realized that they were staring at me, not Myra.
“Why?” she snapped her head over to glare at him.
“Turn around,” he basically whispered. She did so and her eyes bulged before she slowly backed away from me.
“What?” I asked lowly as I tried to calm my facial features.
“Nothing,” she said as she gestured to Quintin, “but be my guest.”
“Why are you so scared of her?” he asks, looking between them and me.
“Someone's really gonna get it!” Marie exclaims quietly in a sing-song voice. I take a steadying breath before I start.
“You think your agents would last one day in the dimensions with only one of them?” I wave my hand in the legendaries direction. Quintin nods his head slowly. I take a slow breath. “Where should I start? Oh, how are you planning on tracking them through the very fabric of space-time? Do you even know anyone who could even begin to understand the trail that people leave? Because I only know of one individual and she wouldn't be too willing to help you. Also how do you think you're going to defend yourself from Mother Nature’s evil twin. You do realize that she or he is at least as powerful as Mother Nature and, well, she's Mother Nature. Your little guns won't have even the slightest effect on her twin. Your toys wouldn't even scratch any on them,” I gesture again to the legendaries, “so how were you planning on fighting her twin? Also you have no idea the terrain of each of the different worlds and what type of people and animals you might face and who's good and could help and who's evil and should be avoided at all cost. And before you say that you'll have one of them, one of them can only guide so many. Your men would be limited to the single digits which wouldn't have much of an effect on the evil twin even if you were to find a weapon that would actually have any type of effect on her, or him. So if that all sounds like fun, go on ahead,” I cross my arms over my chest and glare at him. Quintin stares at me with wide eyes.
“I'm sure that you would know exactly what is going on if you do,” Marie says sarcastically.
“Or wouldn't mess up reality itself,” Tearkan adds.
“Oh no,” Mozaku puts in, “I'm confident that absolutely nothing could go wrong.”
“So go right on ahead,” Teton invites, “Which one of us do you want to go with you?” Quintin doesn't say a word, just glances back and forth between them all before settling on me.
