Onryx's POV
Journal Entry #11: After waking up on Friday, I went into the bathroom and after taking my shower, stood in front of my mirror for a while to reflect on my past. The man standing before me was not at all physically fit. Fairly skinny and tall, my large glasses gave the appearance of a stereotypical lab nerd. However, despite my physical shortcomings, I knew had one of the brightest minds in the world. I had always been a bit of a loner at school. As a result, I had hidden away in books in order to escape the terrible world I had lived in. My parents were ex-Special Forces, and as a result pushed extremely hard for me to become something similar. However, when it was found that I had a rare disease that limited muscle growth, my parents gave up all hope on me, and then disowned my from the family. Due to this development, I focused on sharpening my mental skills to compensate for my lack of physical ability. After finishing high school at the age of 16, I went on to college at MIT, all the while designing new prototypes for the government. After graduating at the age of 19, I had become a technological genius, even helping to design the world's fastest quantum computer. However, I found something lacking in my life, and then retired at the age of 27 from designing technology for companies worldwide and then retreated to my helicarrier (I had read a lot of science fiction and comics). The government had been keeping tabs on me for a while now (although it didn't work that well because they were using my own design and knew how to circumvent them) until about a week ago, when I suddenly disappeared from existence in their world. Utilizing technological means, I had figured out a way to create dimensional portals at will. I had used a large scale version of this technology to teleport into other dimensions. Afterwards, I used this idea to create a small portable version of the extremely large portal, dubbing it the Portal Pistol. But all this dimension hopping required a huge amount of power, which I didn't have an unlimited supply of. As a result, I needed a more reliable, practically infinite power source. In my travels, I had heard mention of the Soul Realm and the Soulkeepers that reside within it. With the power of the souls, I could jump between dimensions at will. Consequently, I summoned one of the Soulkeepers and created a pact with her. Her name was Nefesi. In addition, I had also gained limited mind control over creatures. Afterwards, I then began recruiting an "army" of characters from my favorite books, movies, and a newer pastime of mine, video games in order to prove that I wasn't useless, as my parents thought I was, all those years ago.
